Abusers do not have “redemption arcs”. They can get treatment but that involves YEARS of psychological restructuring. It’s CONSTANT work that they ACTIVELY have to execute. That’s why we can’t just accept, “oh Im healed now.” Just like racism, abuse can be covert. It’s not a simple subject.
