Just saw a short ad for ozempic which for some reason had the original “I’m a Mac / I’m a PC” duo. My first reaction was “wow John Hodgeman shaved his beard for this? I’m a bit sad.”

At the D&D presentation at GAMA Expo. The big news is “Seasons” not just rulebooks. Initial take: plans for new products and organized play are great for retailers, mid to decent for players. Very excited for new reference cards.

Tomorrow, thousands of trans Kansas citizens will lose their legal ID without warning. A "bounty" program will encourage their fellow citizens to turn them in if they disobey. "Terrifying" doesn't begin to describe it. This is evil. www.erininthemorning.com/p/kansas-sen...

Super annoyed that the Peacock app spoiled me for the curling mixed doubles semifinals results. MLB.tv has a pretty good "no spoilers" setting, seems like this should be possible. :(

I’m cursed with recognizing voiceovers. Does John Hamm need extra money because I just heard him on a Salesforce ad which is unsettling on multiple levels.

@differentmatt.bsky.social seeing Mouat and Dodd in mixed doubles dropped all my tension and I thought of you. I am, apparently, a once per four years Curling fan.

@christopherschmidt.bsky.social I know this isn’t your wheelhouse, but a friend of mine theorizes that the forecasts of the recent storm (which was more ice than snow for us at the last minute) were directly attributable to NWS (etc) budget cuts. Can you comment?

The agents had already disarmed Pretti when they shot him over and over again. An agent walked away with the gun in hand. Another agent can be heard asking "Where's the gun?!" after the shooting, because it was not in Pretti's possession when they opened fire. It's all on video.

Hey @zachzaidman.bsky.social please let your boss know that I was genuinely disappointed that the MLB app radio feed cut out the Grounds Crew singing today at the 7th inning stretch. I know this is probably an MLB app issue but it made me sad.

Just want to comment that even though they dropped two to the Giants, the #Cubs have played 35 of 38 games against teams that have winning records. No other club has played anywhere near that much stiff competition to date. Particularly not any of the other five teams in first.

Dave Carroll @everyonesings.bsky.social · 05/05/2025

My stomach dropped when Tucker bruised himself on a stolen base in the 9th inning. Imanaga injured is a bummer but no way would it be fair if the #cubs had two stars injured in one game.

The #Cubs, have a .600 record. Pretty great! But the league-leading Mets have a .700 record. The Cubs are still better (so far) why? It’s in the “>.500” statistic. They’ve both played 30 games. How many games were versus winning teams? Mets: 10 games (7-3) Cubs: TWENTY NINE (17-12)
