I grew up in a union household too. Join a union if you can. Unions fought for most of the rights you DO have in work. NEVER pass a picket. This includes working from home when your colleagues are on a picket outside your workplace; it’s still passing a picket line virtually. #UpTheWorkers 💪

One dart station away from my dentist’s appointment and they called me to tell me the bloody mouthguard yoke hadn’t come in yet so it has to be postponed. After phoning me at lunchtime to move the appointment half an hour earlier too. What excellent use of a half day AL. 🙃

Dubray are useless. Last time I was in the one on grafton street they wouldn’t let me on their top floor to look at whatever passes for a politics and current affairs section an hour before their closing time because the cafe on said floor was closed. Nor would they go & look for the book for me.

Here’s the thing though. Human beings change their mind about things over time. Their views evolve based on their real life experience. The ‘AI’ cannot read inside their head right now, or predict what changes will occur in their brains even in 1 day from now. Not every data point is online.

Had great fun this morning telling someone demanding I couldn’t do their pointless admin thing because it was someone else’s job and they are on sick leave and we are not covering sick leave. 💪
