ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Night dive with the locals in NJ We fought the current on the way out to have an easy ride back to the entrance/exit point. 73F, 60min dive 🤿🐙🦑🦀 0195
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Some fantastic conditions last weekend diving offshore in NJ. Easily 40 ft visibility, 72F at the top, 52 at 120ft. The jellyfish deco gauntlet on the way back up felt like a level from Mario Bros-i could've done with one of the invincible stars 🐙🦑🦀🐟🐠🤿 084
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Photos from Sunday's shore dive. It was a toasty 78°F and a nice 65min dive before the tide started to really move again 160

ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 28/07/2026A horseshoe crab from last night's shore dive in NJ. Ive never noticed how red the feets of a horseshoe crab can be! 72°F, 20+ft of viz, 55min dive 🐙🦑🐟🐠🤿🦀 13915

ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Drove to NC over the weekend to get some warmup dives in as the season kicks off. This is from the wreck of the Aeolus in 110ft of water. On the breather, the fish just seem to ignore me! It's really incredible 🦈🤿🦑 050
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Saw this guy from the parking lot. He was upside down and I was afraid he was dead but i went to flip him anyway Picked him up and he moved! Even better, he has a tag! Horseshoe crabs might look dangerous but they're completely harmless with no way to hurt you even if they wanted to 🦑🐙🦀 18616

ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 27/02/2026I took this with a TG-6 a couple years ago in Roatan. The tiny worm is roughly 2mm long and on a mooring line to give you a sense of scale. A DSLR housing is expensive but you may be able to get a macro lens/diopter that can be submerged without getting the whole rig wet! 160

ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 11/01/2026@greenleejw.bsky.social I got excited about your @ name but then read your description about being a surprised historian, not a surprised eel. Every time I see an eel, I hear them say "Surprise!" and for a moment thought I was no longer alone 😭 020
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 05/01/2026I don't know who needs to hear this: Walmart has giant plushie marine life that you can just buy. I left without the spotted eagle ray but I might need to go back for him this week. In the meantime, meet Sledge the hammerhead shark 🦑🐙🦈 090
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 06/11/2025Some of the tiny creatures we saw in the Banda Sea- I love being able to pick a spot, stop, and see so much life around me. 🐙🦑🤿🐟🪸 1153
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 05/11/2025The clown triggerfish was such a standout, it quickly became a favorite fish to spot! It was also super shy for a triggerfish, preferring to run away instead of attack like the triggers we all know and love 🦑🐙🤿🐟🪸 030
ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 05/11/2025It was so much fun to meet sea creatures like sea snakes/kraits who don't live in the Atlantic/Caribbean, different types of hard and soft corals that are thriving despite VERY warm water temps and to see familiar fish shapes in new flavors and color patterns. 🐙🦑🤿🐟 1113

ESG @ev0lemi.bsky.social · 18/05/2025Nice to get back in local waters today in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. There were so many horseshoe crabs including a big momma tangled in some fishing line who I assumed was dead. I decided to cut her free anyway and she started moving!
