#nufc a team that seems utterly bereft of fortitude or character

Shell’s refineries expected to make record profits. Profit margins of $42 a barrel, up from $24 a barrel. Cashing in on global conflicts. Bumper payouts for execs and shareholders. Misery for households and businesses. Millions plunged into poverty. Must levy 100% windfall tax.

That’s why business investment has grown since 2024 and we’ve seen the fastest growth in the G7 this year (oddly missing from the article). There is lots more to do, but we should focus on the brilliant businesses building modern Britain, not just those who sadly seem to hate it

There are lots of real economic headwinds, not least from the Iran war (which is part of why we opposed it). But there are also lots of brilliant business owners who live in Britain and are investing in it (even if the BBC don’t cover their comments, or investments, as news)

So much of the right these days have a massive patriotism problem. This guy: - is a tax exile (left long before this govt) - hates his own country while complaining he doesn’t get big enough subsidies from it - laments the manufacturing hit from a Brexit he supported www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

#nufc deserved to win - great performance by Wissa. Munoz ran into Hall and that penalty would never have been given at the other end.

Honestly still in shock at the news Eddie Howe is leaving. He's been the best manager I've seen at #nufc and delivered the long-awaited trophy. Thank you for everything, Eddie.

Chelsea have spent thick end of £2bn on transfers in four years, huge wage bill, broken UEFA rules repeatedly, circumvented PL's w/internal sales, performed (relatively) abjectly on pitch, now dropping £117m on one player It would be laughable if not so damaging to the game

Will England get a better chance of winning the World Cup any time soon? We had a favourable route to the final, which might not happen again. Kane will be 36 at the next World Cup with no obvious successor emerging. Winning a World Cup is incredibly hard, but it feels like a missed opportunity.

Since Staveley was forced out #nufc have gone from being one of the best operators in the transfer market to one of the worst. People will bring up PSR issues, but would the current lot have been capable of persuading Trippier and Bruno to join a club in the relegation zone? I highly doubt it.

In accordance with ancient tradition, our next Prime Minister is announced to the nation while standing between a furry and a man with a bin on his head.
A victorious Andy Burnham MP (24,937 votes), as the result of the Makerfield by-election is announced, flanked by defeated candidates Count Binface (a bloke in a vaguely sci-fi costume with a large bin for a helmet; 95 votes) and Robert Pownall (who is in a full body fox costume, holding a sign reading "Protect British Wildlife"; 18 votes). There are some other candidates there just out of shot but that's not important right now.

Through all the difficulty in 23-24, injuries, #UCL fatigue and the mitigation repeated again this season, #NUFC got 60 points. That total was enough for another campaign in that competition this season. The bar has never been lower & there was never a chance of hitting it.

1. Labour needs a second term to renew this country after years of Tory failure. On the current trajectory, we won’t get there because we will lose, and Farage will win. That should be nobody’s legacy.

Reform is a protest party. A protest against decency, integrity, kindness, expertise, and progress. It's a party of pettiness and hate, and it is made up of petty and hateful people from the grassroots to the very top. What it doesn't have is competence. So good luck with the bins and potholes.
