There are lots of real economic headwinds, not least from the Iran war (which is part of why we opposed it). But there are also lots of brilliant business owners who live in Britain and are investing in it (even if the BBC don’t cover their comments, or investments, as news)

That’s why business investment has grown since 2024 and we’ve seen the fastest growth in the G7 this year (oddly missing from the article). There is lots more to do, but we should focus on the brilliant businesses building modern Britain, not just those who sadly seem to hate it

Profiting in a country that created the conditions for your business, while paying no taxes there, should not be allowed; tax the profits where the economic benefits arise.

“But we should focus on the brilliant businesses….” Maybe the government can use its powers of communication. What happened to weekly briefings from the purpose built briefing room? Live stream so the media don’t control the narrative.

Yeah, it is odd it’s missing from that BBC news article. You know it’s a shame you guys have no dedicated minister that covers the media as otherwise they might be able to get the BBC News to drop its clear conservative bias and return to neutrality. Also a shame no charter renewal on the horizon

The UK was beginning to emerge from the dark days of the Tories then Labour MPs upended all that. Let’s hope that the foundations laid by SKS’s gov’t can be taken forward by Burnham - ‘growth in every postcode’

You say you oppose the Iran war, but UK labour is the sole reason Trumo can continue his illegal war and blockade. The yanks are now 100% reliant on the use of our base in Diego Garcia for logistics. If Andy Burnham had a backbone the war and economic crisis would be over.

Yes, banks are booming,(8bn profits per week) GDP is up, retail sales are up and our cities are clogged up with US style cars. But the majority are feeling the squeeze: rents, public services, the NHS (being handed over to Palantir). Isn't Labour supposed to represent workers not the corporations?
