Watched a movie from 2024 instead of the second episode. "Mabel". About a girl who likes plants. It was good.

ethereal spirits @etherealspirits.bsky.social · 13h

I have started watching "VisionQuest" but I will admit, I am bored. There is nothing intriging or different about this show. At least "WandaVision" had interesting twists and the story was not the typical Avengers plotline. I know, it's Disney. But so was "WandaVision" and "Agatha All Along".

I don't want to see Ukraine destroyed. I don't want to see Russia taking it over. It doesn't have to happen. It should not happen. It is immoral to let it happen. ウクライナが破壊されるのを見たくはない。ロシアに占領されるのも見たくはない。そうなる必要はないし、そうなるべきでもない。それを許すのは不道徳なことだ。

Smart appliances have been a risk for a long time. Fridges in French markets temperatures were greatly increased by hackers recently, causing fires and food spoilage. The WiFi in most smart appliances can be disabled or disconnected. Probably smart to do in most cases.

Known as Yokohama robes after the port from which they were shipped, this Japanese quilted and embroidered dressing gowns became popular in the second half of the c19th. This one dates to c1875. I would very much like to curl up into one today please and thank you @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

"Exit 8" looked familiar to me. I went through Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station when I went to the garden. It's a story concept that would work well set in other countries. But this movie is very Japanese in it's construction and morality. It is good. I recommend watching before seeing "Backrooms".

I wish more Democrat and Independent politicians would look at Mayor Mamdami's social media and see why it's so effective at messaging. It's not that it's entertaining, it's that he states clearly what he wants to do and why, and gives details. And follows up with it happening, with details.

Using Medicare money as a political bribe, not a good look. Glad to see, at least on here, people seeing it for what it is. Forcing that on people like they did does not change what it is. They have not reduced medical costs. Until they reduce what insurers and venture capitalists get, won't happen

Spooky vibes for spooky month 👻🌌 The more you look at this region of NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory’s Ocean of Stars, the more emerges. Wispy galactic cirrus veils stars and distant galaxies, while thousands of spiral galaxies, smooth galaxies, shell galaxies, & more lurk in the depths. 🔭🧪

Vast star field with numerous bright stars and distant galaxies of various shapes, sizes, and colors. On the left, a ghostly haze of galactic cirrus drifts like cotton candy.

A wide, panoramic view of a dense field of countless tiny, pinpoint stars filling the entire frame like fine dust. Wispy, faint, grayish-brown clouds of galactic cirrus drift across the scene, creating a patchy texture over the dark background. Several brighter stars stand out across the field, most notably a large blue star on the upper right surrounded by a glowing halo, along with a few other scattered blue and orange stars. A white rectangle at upper center highlights a specific area.
