A flooding event seems increasingly probable in the interior Northeast on Wednesday as a strong inland cutter drags a strong atmospheric river over a snowpack containing 1-4" of liquid. Stratiform rain and snowmelt followed by a convective line is a classic recipe for a cold season flood.

Curious what ‘DOGE’ would mean for the NWS. Things like SPC/WPC/NHC I don’t think would be affected, but would there be a cutback of WFOs? What does this mean for greater NOAA? When you’ve got oil execs changing their tune about climate, seems like something not to get rid of.

100K in 12 hours. Holy smokes. From a writing perspective, I think it’s my best work. English was always my weakest subject in school, so to see how far I’ve come in that respect was huge. A small moment for celebration, but no slowing down now. It’s back to the workbench.
