While they’re very open on borrowing the ‘aesthetics’ of different countries/cultures, they fall flat when it’s time to write an actual story for them. 140

Like as someone who’s also not American (or European either), I would love to see more variety in the stories being told. 130

A combo of not having varied voices in that department and a (seeming) lack of sensitivity readers has led to the narrative and worldbuilding being bland, flat and homogenised in some areas and outright grossly insensitive in others. 121
