Maybe @github.com wouldn't have so many stability issues if their "report content app" actually worked? I was simply trying to report this spam comment: github.com/DatabaseClea... #spam

PRACTICAL COMPUTER
Thomas Cannon
Blue Ridge Ruby, May 2026The only numbered list slide in my talk
1. Break up your work into commits that tell a story
2. Use the free time you gain to experiment and grow
3. Build model train stations to practice freely, with autonomy
4. Concoct larger bodies of work from the breadcrumbs of commits and research
5. Do all this in small chunks, rather than giant sprintsWhat makes a good commit?

It would be so nice if Google Calendar caught up with the times and offered more options to block scams and #spam: “Block invitations from *all* unknown senders” seems a bit drastic when you use your calendar for work. #Google #GoogleCalendar #Scam
The screen to report spam in Google Calendar needs work.

There is a lot of value in programming just for the fun of it. I love this message by @tenderlove.dev in his keynote. Tinkering with weird stuff can be a great way to learn things beyond what you do at work. #RailsConf #RailsConf2025 #OpenSource

Apparently enforcement agencies, government entities, phone companies won’t do anything to block robocallers. This leads me to believe that the business for robocaller blocker services is safe for the foreseeable future.

I know this is a little bit too nitpicky, but why aren't #GitHub URL paths consistent? "issues/108" 👉 github.com/railsbump/ap... "pull/109" 👉 github.com/railsbump/ap... I'd expect "pulls/109" to _just work_ but that returns all the PRs by user "109" 🤣

My first impression of the new iPhone 15. The dynamic island is pretty cool and usable. Perfect for the multitasker. You can quickly tap and go to the 2 things that are running in the background. In my case: Uber + Tidal #ux #iphone15
