First defense related bill for Dems: project meridian and similar partnerships makes all participants unable to take part or advocate for defense contracts

What exactly is the point of electing Republicans if their only constituency is Donald Trump? What do they even stand for at this point? Trump has destroyed their party platform, belittled their history and past leaders, and is going to send many of them packing. Even Senators gave up agency. Crazy

It might help for Dems to point out that the $5000 check won’t even make up for the rise in costs that Trump’s policies will create. Groceries, health insurance, housing….all of it is going up.

Incredible. First Secretary Mullin claimed that DHS had identified 15,903 noncitizens on Nevada’s voter roll. Then DHS officials told a skeptical Nevada, no no no, that’s just people we flagged. Here are the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens. All 185 were citizens. DHS got 100% wrong.
When the Department of Homeland Security sent Nevada a list of 185 names last month that it claimed identified noncitizens who had been improperly allowed to register to vote, state election officials got to work.
On Tuesday, the state sent a strongly worded rebuke to the federal government: Every single person on the list was a lawful citizen.
"As for the 185 individuals, our records indicate that they were citizens," Greg D. Ott, a deputy attorney general in Nevada, wrote, according to a copy of a letter sent to Department of Homeland Security officials obtained through open records requests.
"You have provided nothing of substance to suggest otherwise."Following the meeting, Ms. Vogt sent a clarifying email to Nevada officials. "I also wanted to be sure I clarified that we did not reduce the 15,903 to 185," she wrote. "We've manually reviewed some of the 15,903 and confirmed 185 are not U.S. Citizens."
Now, Nevada officials are saying even that 185 number is wrong. They also took issue with a letter D.H.S. sent them in early September, in which the agency reiterated its initial claims about nearly 16,000 noncitizens on the rolls and pressured state officials to review each case in a letter to Nevada officials in early September.

Seems pretty obvious that the timing of Trump’s latest media action is yet another attempt to turn around his poll numbers by ginning up a new fight against one of his bases enemies. It’s worked in the past so obviously he’s going back to the well.

The first executive order of the next president should be to rename all porta-potties “Trumps”. Since we are renaming things and he wants his name on everything, this seems fitting.

This morning as I asked the driver if I can put my bag in his trunk, he just drove off and cancelled. WTH

Really hope the next generation of Dems are ready to laugh at the Republicans who try to blame Dems for everything the Trump admin tore down. Laugh, berate, and make the squirm. “Oh you want that data now? Didn’t seem to care when Trump disbanded that part of the agency. Pound sand”

I’m actually surprised by how angry the Blanche vote makes me. This is the type of thing we just never would have seen several years ago. Primaries are over and the sniveling cowards still voted for someone who is clearly unethical and unqualified. I hope this vote hurts them for a generation

Feel like the media is leaning too much into the progressive vs centrist narrative, when the reality seems to be fighters/change vs norms/old school. People are sick of the current Dem leaders who talk about writing letters and sit back waiting to be back in charge.

Why are Dems bad at making Republicans nervous about their votes? Instead they prefer letting republicans pass these things that they should be against and trying to use it to win elections. That’s not leadership. Every republican up for election in 2026 should be nervous about confirming Blanche

Saw a 80s revival festival last night. “Totally Tubular”. It was fun, but finally got to see a band I was a bit too young to see when they last played live: Bow Wow Wow. They were phenomenal. Only four songs which was just not enough. Really hope to see Annabella out touring more!

We do need election reform. First on the list, you can’t lie to the public about election procedures or results. Felony. Second, you can’t institute processes that make it harder to vote. Three, real campaign finance reform with strong limits to contributions from those outside of your constituency

Have any Democrats proposed legislation to limit the President’s pardon power to not be applicable to crimes committed by, for, or under his authority? Ignoring whether that’s constitutional, Dems should get Republicans on the record and use this to point out the deep corruption occurring right now
