Hello #portfolioday! I'm Elisa, fantasy artist in love with dark fantasy, pirates, mythology, folklore, esoterism and moody/gothic stuff. In the past years I mostly worked for TTRPGs houses, but I'd like to find more, inspiring gigs in the publishing field. 🌒elisaserioart.com 🌒eserio.art@gmail.com

Oh hi. It's my birthday 🙂 I have to say that diving into acrylic painting and book illustration over these last few years has been incredibly rewarding, and I enjoy learning more, painting more, and getting older really is quite great!

Cover illustration for "Fusion Fragment" showing a portrait of a woman facing upwards, as a mirror shatters around her. The mirror shards all show eyes of other women trapped within them. Two mask shards are also falling around her face, inspired by Japanese kabuki masks, representing her mixed heritage.

Acrylic painting showing Sauron's defeat by Lúthien and Huan at Tol-in-Gaurhoth

Book interior illustration for "Fangs for Nothing", showing the MC Winnie in a castle hallway. The scene takes inspiration from Gothic horror and Gothic romance movies, from the nightgown design to the candelabra.
A black cat hides behind Winnie's leg, a vampire hides in a dark doorway, and the red candlelight reflects of a suit of armor and several empty painting frames.

Acrylic character illustration for a fantasy book commission. The two characters are shown in a sparse, partially destroyed ice palace hall. Both characters have unnaturally pale skin and are clad in black.

Absolutely the same, the writing is so compelling and intriguing, and the character development is just incredible, I literally keep reading it even while walking because I couldn't put it down!

Yes! it reminded me a lot of Berserk and DarkSouls, and probably that's why I immediately fell in love with it. Then the wonderful writing came, which just confirmed my feelings. My TBR list is extremely long so I'll go with another book but I TOTALLY AGREE, I would start to read it again as well 🖤

I just finished Between Two Fires by @buehlmeister.bsky.social and I'm really speechless, it was such an intense, painful journey, but wonderful nonetheless. Honestly one of the best books I've ever read. I still have watering eyes because it really touched something in my soul. What a masterpiece.

My contribution to the exhibition "What if... altre menti, altre mani" for Fantastika - Biennale Dozza 2026! I was assigned Tim Burton, and I chose to reimagine a scene from The Lord of the Rings in the style of Sleepy Hollow. #darkart #fantasyart #lotr #sleepyhollow
