Spent some time setting up a rust-based VST/CLAP plugin repo yesterday. Today I had an LLM recreate one of my old favorite granular plugins just from the PDF manual it came with, and now it's working. I've never written rust code or a plugin before - very non-trivial accomplishment

Is LLM AI perfect? definitely not. Is claude code surprisingly effective? **Yes** (when you plan/scope effectively (requires actual dev experience). Is it cost effective? Mmmmmm probably not. But for now, my company is footing the bill 🤷

As much as I loved symphonic metal as a teenager, as an adult quasi retired producer, I loathe to hear the like upscale sound font symphonies over otherwise really well made metal. It's really only a bit better than midi when you can hear it :/
