He stumbled forward, pack falling off him to hit the ground with a loud clatter as he dropped to his knees amidst the flowers. His fist pounded hard against the earth, sending a painful jolt through his arm, but he didn't care as he struck again and again.

"Hey…hey…it's okay…" Uvlo hushed soothingly and embraced him.

Shunye could see the concern in his lover's eyes and the storm of rage welling up inside him started to abate. "I'm sorry…It seems that the land has moved on and clearly I have not," he murmured, tilting his head towards the sprouting foliage.

Tora waved her hand, catching a thread of aether and igniting it across the candles that sat in the iron fixture that hung from the ceiling.

"And we might need to do some cleaning," she added, seeing more dust on the floor.

"Do you even have a bed yet?" Jacek asked, finally closing the door.

"Nie, but I have the camp bed for tonight and then we can go buy one tomorrow."

"I'd rather stay in the inn room," Jacek replied, ruffling his short hair with one hand. He'd always kept it long, but he wanted to "try something different" and she could tell he was regretting it.

"Go stay in the inn room then." Tora said. "I don't mind one more night of camping. I do not shit higher than my ass."

He laughed.

"I do not shit higher than my ass, but I also know the Inn has a place to shit."

Tora thought about that for a moment.

Jacek's chubby hands touched the stem gently. He didn't quite understand what mama was saying, but he had learned enough about her garden to know that you don't squeeze the stems of the plants too hard or they broke.

"Do you remember what this plant is, my little Hyacinth?" Mama always spoke in Eorzean when babcia wasn't there to criticize her accent.

"Issa hebbe-oar."

"That's right, it's a hellebore. Very good!" Mama tucked a strand of long hair behind Jacek's ear. "You'll be mama's helper when you're grown, won't you? You'll help me tend the garden, little Hyacinth?"

"Yah!" Jacek yelled, clapping his hands together.

A girl about her age stood in the outside hall, dressed in a flowing black coat and skirt that matched her hair. In her pale hands was a small plate with a coffee biscuit atop it.

"I…uh…thought you might be hungry?" Gaia, visitor from another world and quickly becoming Ryne's best friend (not that she had many friends from her years in Eulmore), asked with an awkward fidget.

"What is your problem?" she seethed as she slammed the door back shut.

"My problem with what?" Gota'a asked, not getting up from where he sat. He knew exactly what she was about to scold him for.

"You can't talk to Raelthota like that!" Tora slammed her fist on the table to try and get a rise out of him. "You don't get to order people around just because," she paused and then lowered her voice. "just because we're in bed with each other."

Of course she would see it like that.

"That's not what…" he lowered the tome and set it on the table. "Seven hells. I wasn't ordering her around. I was critiquing her poor use of strategy. I simply suggested that she change her tactics to avoid the possibility of an ambush."

"Well your tone was lacking in such noble intention."

Perhaps it was the fact both had evolved into more than simple business partners, each mercantile pair having found love in each other, but Uvlo in general enjoyed the Xbr'aal and Tonawawta's company and their cheerful dispositions…although he had to wonder how that was going to play out now.

Papawni smiled encouragingly at the Viera. "We really do appreciate this! The Landsguard are looking for ways to better detain those they arrest. Rope is often easily cut through and even cuffs can be maneuvered in if you're dexterous enough. So Rral and I came up with this design!"

Sphene shook her head in a effort to stop those ruminations. "More to the point, we have been seen together and, I'm not sure about Tuliyollal, but there have been whispers happening here." Sphene's face took on a more soured disposition. "And then there are the blatant NOT whispers," she muttered and held up a small electrope screen.

Wuk Lamat bent forward for a closer look. A lot of this technology stuff was more in Koana's wheelhouse, while she had grown up in more archaic surroundings, but her time with Sphene was helping her become more familiar. There was a paused image of a Tonawata dressed in bright yellow clothes which matched her blonde hair who immediately sprung to life as her friend hit the play icon.

"Heyyy my darling fans! Honey B. Lovely here talking about all the sweet gossip happening around Solution Nine!" the recording said cheerfully, although there was a level of saccharine grandstanding that sent an annoyed flick through one of the Xbr'aal's ears.

“Seriously, Skybun, how are you not freezing right now?!” Shunye asked in exasperation as he clutched his woolen coat more tightly around him. The settlement of Worlar’s Echo was bustling with activity as the gargantuan Yok Huy worked and played alongside the spirits of the mountain.

His bondmate smiled, still in his leather armor which left large parts of his exposed. “It’s something that all Veena are taught. With the appropriate control of one’s breathing you can actually feel quite comfortable. Our armor is also quite padded around the chest. As long as you can keep the heart from getting too frigid the rest of the body benefits from the pumping of its blood.”

The Shetona grumbled and crossed his arms as he stared intently at the other man’s exposed midriff. “I still think they should make some sort of covering for you stomach,” he insisted, although the image of Uvlo having scarf wrapped around his belly made him snort with laughter.

Kyawiweni responded in kind, his massive hands trailing ever so gently down Koana's spine. Feeling the swell of his ass. Running up and down his thigh a few times before moving to the closure on his pants. Hovering there inquisitvely.

Koana broke the kiss long enough to exhale a breathy, "yes," before crashing back into him, digging his nails into the man's shoulders as he undid both the front closure and the back where his tail came through.

"Little rough with those nails, Second Promise. I like that."

Kyawiweni cupped Koana's face between his fingers, then slid them a little lower to where it would just cut off Koana's airway. Koana's breath hitched, his eyes fluttering closed as a small moan escaped his lips.

"Ye like that?" he asked, releasing Koana's airway. Koana nodded.

"Lay down, Second Promise."

"Koana… you need not address me by my title in bed."

"Of course, Koana."
