Guys! #ASH24 had a #puppy pen!! Look at this little guy! Apparently 4 or 5 puppies have been adopted so far, which is nuts. I can't imagine going to a conference and coming home with a puppy (despite deep desire and begging from my littles)

Agree that mouse and human aren't the same. One of the late slides looked at n=3 healthy volunteers and exogenous bhb. There's a clinical trial open now about adding bhb to cart thera. So finding keto goes to BHB to better outcomes in mice to now giving humans bhb to see if you get better cart

This was just presented in the Plenary session of #ASH24, and I don't recall her mentioning the results being published concurrent with her being on stage. It looks like all the diets except keto are in line with the control for cancer volume. Hypothesis was the benefit was via β-Hydroxybutyrate

Adding in, it wasn't just diet for said friend. There was a *lot* of modern medical advances that helped them survive. Just, I remember how big of a diet change they underwent as well.

Dr. Shan Liu just called out the Western diet as the "Fast Food" diet and she ain't wrong 😂 And look, the Western diet upped tumor volume... I have a good friend who came back from stage 4 lung cancer after a *massive* diet change, so I find this talk on #keto boosting #Car-T interesting #ASH24 🧪

What am I missing? The #cemsidomide MonoDACTM degrader results showed a patient case study. It looks like it worked great during the first month, but after a few months disease came back with a bang...and close to 9 in 10 pts discont. (I recognize its a heavily pretreated pop. & oral) #ASH24 🧪

Big congrats to Dr Rachel Rau looking at #blinatumomab in kids. Adding it into standard #chemo significantly cut relapses and increased disease free survival. She mentioned the data monitoring board suggested a stop to randomization for efficacy. #ASH24 #ASH2024 🧪
