Thanks to the side effects of the chemotherapy, plus having two falls in two days (nothing broken, nothing bruised,) and now I’m basically bedridden… I’ve decided to discontinue any further treatments. It’s making my life worse and exponential ways and short periods of time. #FuckCancer

Chemotherapy side effects. It lowers your red blood cell platelet count and then you get these horrible things on the side of your body. It’s really rough skin, doesn’t itch, but good to keep it moisturized. I’m just very aware of it all the time. #FuckCancer

After finishing that book, I moved on to another I've read once before. This time it was a comfort read. It was Proof of Heaven by Dr. Eden Alexander. I read it in four days. It's a book that changed my life, and I don't just throw that phrase around lightly. #BookSky

Here we go again. The cancer is incurable but treatable. Two day short chemo, blood transfusion today, 28 days off, then immunotherapy. This beats the disease back to give me more time, considering I react well to it all.

I have started chemo treatments as a precursor to immunotherapy. I had one yesterday and I’ll have one today. It’s a 28 day cycle. Fingers crossed. This is not curative. It is just treatment to push the disease back to lengthen my days. I feel OK for now. #FuckCancer

I may have accidentally taken 10 mg of oxycodone last night. I just know that I slept about 7 1/2 hours straight through. I also had a dream with a friend of mine who died last year. She was showing me around heaven. When I asked her who met her when she crossed over, I woke up. It's haunting me.

After a visit to my oncologist yesterday, I don't know that my life will play out as I had hoped. Just some up in the air stuff, and some subtle messaging of "do things now in case you can't later." Nothing final. But it was a fuck of a visit.

Never planned on posting this; This is cancer. Hodgkin's Lymphoma rarely presents on the skin. Mine did. First pic is 9/2024 at its worst, first day of chemo. Last pic is two days ago. Yeah it's gross. Imagine living with it for over 2+ years. I'm fucking exhausted inside and out. #FuckCancer

Oh shit. My birthday is a week from today! I keep thinking I'm earlier in the month than we are. I'll be 58. I realized I moved to Albany when I was 29. That means this year I've lived in New York state half my life. I didn't even live in my home state for 29 years. Crazy how life plays out.
