YZV’s first word was “cat” at like 7 months. There’s been plenty of ASL she knows & understands like: please, yes, potty, hungry, eat, all done & more, milk, stop. But today… at 13 months, my baby said Umi for the first time. She’s known how to sign it. But to hear her say it?! I’m in shambles. 🥹🥲

It’s a truly ableist take as well. For the people with low capacity/spoons who still want to read. Audio books are saving lives. For folks like me who are migraine prone, or for parents who are busy keeping up with a kid… listening to books is saving my mental health!

i wish non-artists would connect their frustration about how "nothing looks cool anymore" with the fact that artists are given less freedom and opportunities in industrial design and user interfaces. we still have creative people and beautiful things, that never went away
