YZV’s first word was “cat” at like 7 months. There’s been plenty of ASL she knows & understands like: please, yes, potty, hungry, eat, all done & more, milk, stop. But today… at 13 months, my baby said Umi for the first time. She’s known how to sign it. But to hear her say it?! I’m in shambles. 🥹🥲

i wish non-artists would connect their frustration about how "nothing looks cool anymore" with the fact that artists are given less freedom and opportunities in industrial design and user interfaces. we still have creative people and beautiful things, that never went away

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!

Even through my unemployment I know I’m privileged. I still have my house, my car, my daughter, lights are on, food in the fridge, etc. I may be struggling temporarily but we’re still ok. Still need a job tho but we’re ok
