Climate.gov, a major US government website supporting public education on climate science, will likely shut down after almost all of its staff were fired. What would be worse is if the website were co-opted to publish climate denial content.

Temperatures continued to set new records in the Northern Hemisphere last month. Yikes, 2023 sure has been one for the books. Data from ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis at cds.climate.copernicus.eu/cdsapp#!/dat....
Line graph time series of monthly mean surface temperature anomalies for the Northern Hemisphere region only. Every month is shown from 1940 to 2023. There is a long-term warming trend in all months with an outlier for 2023.
