But there's just a lot of stuff to do in net80211 to be able to mark and validate the correct frames as needing MFP for TX and RX and then multicast needs a /different/ approach, and action frames need a third magic approach. Which is why its taking me so long to do it in my copious spare time :-)

yup, i've been paying attention to that. I've been plumbing in the PMF bits through net80211 and cleaning up the crypto/cipher APIs whilst doing so. I'm now at the point where i need to actually /make/ and /verify/ the frames. In STA mode where the HW supports it fully offloaded? Its easier.

Like, I just really like making stuff work, making working stuff better, and building new stuff that works. I wish I could do this full time. In any case, I'll keep chipping away at it until I get all the non-11n bits updated, land it and let it bake in -16. Then its back to net80211 and MFP/WPA3.

I'm slowly updating the #freebsd intel 7260/etc driver (if_iwm) to OpenBSD circa 2021. It's a checkpoint I chose because it has working 11n support. It's a big leap and there's a crap load of stuff to refactor and port over so the next leap (11ac and 2026) will be easier. I .. missed this. A lot.

So, know how over time packaging and packaged food / drink amounts keeps trying to trend to smaller amounts for more money? Not ocean spray cranberry juice. Those fuckers fill up the container so high you can't avoid spilling it everywhere when you open the bottle. Props to Ocean Spray.

i know, but (a) I'm gonna need to pick some up, as we're out, and (b) I've stop taking it on time to see if things are healing or not. I haven't taken one in 18 hours now and the bulk of the pain is gone, which is good. It's just a bit odd feeling, not pain feeling.

damn, its been a week and i'm still owie from this root canal. its such a weird tingling sensation in my tongue near where it happened and just a dull ache below said root canal. just .. owie. ow. ie. The 800mg ibuprofen 3x a day stop the pain, but (a) the prescription runs out soon and (b) owie

So last night miss 8yo sat me down after she did some writing to show me some math problems she had just thought up. Readers, she was doing algebra. With variables. So I did what I do, I gave her a question - X + Y = 20; X + 5 = 8 .. and she was like "DAD I AM A MATH NERD BUT NOT AN ALGEBAR NERD!"
