From a previous career in automotive, the typical new vehicle ownership period - how long it stays with the first owner before they sell it - is usually near to exact the loan length. New vehicle buyers hold just long enough to pay it off, then trade for another new vehicle.

The change happened in April 24, so if the context is still about ~2021-Q1 2024, the change isn't relevant. Obvs, if about Q2 2024 vs earlier is a diff matter. www.sca.isr.umich.edu/files/method... UM reviews don't see a huge diff across web & survey though data.sca.isr.umich.edu/fetchdoc.php...

Aye. Traditional search is increasingly... less than helpful. For a bit search-enabled LLMs were able to do about as well as ~ late 2010s Google. Now, those may be stopped after having checked 10-20 sites. Really needs a narrow focus given in the instructions, in addition to the, "Provide sources."

You can think of the two sets of figures, where there's overlap, as roughly minimum and maximum book-ends.

I should clarify I don't mean to imply there's anything wrong with the estimates. Further, the QCEW data won't provide info on facility sizes, energy use, taxes paid, etc. - all of great interest - but it does include the smaller facilities that alternate sources don't cover.

Against statewide all-industry totals, that corresponds to 0.48% of total establishments, 0.38% of total employment, 1.11% of total pay.

There's been a bunch of people from the nearby "large" city active in the local group, specifically because that place has three splinter groups from personality conflicts and egos. And then the local group has become hyper-fixated on something they cannot even remotely impact... It's all tiring.

A big part of the problem is that even if we got “the right leadership” the American electorate has demonstrated it will readily install a maniac ganster to replace them if the economy ever stumbles. You can’t really plan long-term alliances with that sort of partner.

I don't know what's going on here and why the bsky drama, but directly from the King's College London website: www.kcl.ac.uk/events/ukrai... I don't know European academic norms; automatically publishing a thesis may be more a US-specific thing.

Did this a few years ago. Trying in the BEV front, but I drive about 2,000 miles per year so the use case is, "battery on wheels that can power the house for a week when the grid fails for the fourth time in one year," and inventory of bidirectional options has been scant.

The French teacher was, indeed, the nicest and I daresay most effective foreign language educator in the district, and I was fortunate to have similarly great folks in college.

I wound up doing five years of French on the basis of, in high school, writing on the elective selection form, "whatever foreign language has the nicest teacher." Specifically, I wanted to avoid a few teachers known for being among the most unpleasant people in the district.

Data centers reportedly pay 30 to 50 percent above normal hourly rates, and run 80+ hour work weeks limited only by state labor laws. Some of the construction workers are clearing over 400k/yr by working on them. No other project type offers that.
