A Blue & White Apple Power Macintosh G3 in the classic Bondi Blue color, opened up with its guts out. Two PicoIDEs are plugged into it, one into the HDD interface, and the other one meant for the optical/ZIP drives.

Thinking about the story @engineersneedart.com gave about Duane Blehm was interesting - he passed & his mother returned the $10. Years later one of Duane's friends sent the code which allowed his legacy to live on & be talked about in 2026. You never know how kindess will have an effect 50yrs later.

This is amazing! SimCopter had a great soundtrack by Jerry Martin but the game’s files were highly compressed. VCF Midwest is a bit over 2 weeks away so I’m getting PicoIDE demo rigs set up for my table. One will be an SGI Visual Workstation 320 with both a BlueSCSI Ultra Wide and a PicoIDE in way-too-cool black front panel enclosures. These are 3d printed because I’ve only gotten molded samples in beige
Two 3.5” drives in very similar black plastic enclosures, one with picoIDE embossed into the front and the other saying BlueSCSI

I want to reiterate how much I love #bluescsi #initiator mode for imaging old rusty HDs as soon as you get them cos they’re probably going to die when you boot them the 2nd or 3rd time but now you never have to know cos you have an image of the drive that's been in someone's closet for 35 years.
