Sounds a lot like a tropical storm I once drove through. The water was coming from every angle!

Funnily enough, there is a Windmill House about 10 minutes drive from where I live. From memory, it was built by a Dutch couple. www.realestate.com.au/sold/propert...

Now I want a stone tower attached to my house. The neighbours house would have to go to make room though😁.

The Old Town and Victoria Street, Edinburgh. Just before sunrise is a great way to see the town and avoid the tourist hordes. #edinburgh #photography #architecure #tourism #scotland

🧵Spotted A little While Ago in Aotearoa New Zealand: A young human (9?) is listening to a busker play a rather good acoustic version of Dolly Parton's Jolene. She asks her mum, "Hey Mum, do you know what this song is about?" Her mum doesn't skip a beat when she answers, "Your aunt."

A tiny dog (Chihuahua cross cat burglar) is watching her human take a muffin from his lunch box. He sets it on the park bench at his side. He pulls a paperback out of his bag and turns, only to discover that he no longer has a muffin. Tiny Snaffling Dog is not looking guilty AT ALL. (5)

The view from my house in suburban Melbourne 7 years ago. A grass fire that had got out of control and was stopped just short of housing. Do you know how fast a grass fire can travel with a moderate breeze? Faster than you can run. #uk #fire #bushfires #forestfires

To all the Brits out there, are all your journos this fucking stupid? I mean, have they not seen videos of bushfires in Australia, Spain, Canada, US, etc? Note the last level in the fire warning sign. That's not an exaggeration, it comes from bitter experience. #uk #fire #bushfires #forestfires

The news of Dr Jason Arday’s death is devastating. The sensationalised publication of his story, the alleged plagiarism and lies, and the subsequent public flogging of an academic for (checks notes) potentially not being as academically credible as his CV purported he was

They're all for the public's right to know until they're not. People like this demand accountability from others but refuse to acknowledge their own behaviour. And they'll play the victim card without a hint of irony.

I saw a report that The Times and The Telegraph turned off comments on this story. The infuriating thing is that they'll probably have about 5 minutes worth of introspection, declare themselves innocent of harassment, and then move on to their next target.

Spotswood glass manufacturing plant, circa 2022. I quite like the faded paintwork on these storage tanks. #melbourne #photography #industrial #australia

Thanks! It's worth dropping in to have a look if you have the time. The small wetlands on the otherside of the rail line is also worth a look.

In light of recent World Cup issues involving Argentina and England, these are some old photos from 2012 I that took in Ushaia, the nearest Argentinian port to the Falklands. Just a bit of history and not meant to fire up political debate. #ushuaia #photography #streetart #publicart #argentina
