A fluffy black cat with large white eyes lies on its side on green grass beneath a textured sky fading from blue to pale pink. White handwritten text reads: “Maybe sometimes you want to do everything so badly that you end up doing nothing at all. That’s okay. Maybe you’re more tired than you realise. I just hope you know that taking care of yourself counts as doing something, too.”

A writer of a story I've been working on. I wanted to originally make it into a game, but I lacked the know-how and patience so I settled for book writing.

Yeah you won’t get as many followers and likes if you don’t milk every second but we’re not built for that (at least I’m not) and socials don’t deserve all of our time and attention 🙂‍↕️

A reminder that you don’t need to be content machines as creatives You don’t need to chase all the trends Making reels and videos helps sure, but if you’re not the type there are other ways to be engaging You don’t need to make a new post everyday, you can repost some old stuff you’re proud of

We need more things made from people’s deep personal feelings, not less. We need less committee, less algorithm. The good stuff comes from people souls without being heavily tampered with by rich businessmen who know nothing about art or story. People want to connect with that gem inside.

It was me a lot before I found an iteration I settled upon. I still look back at my writing and think 'i could've done that better'. It's hard trying to find the way to convey your story that feels right.

I know... I just find it frustrating that the day jobs lately are demanding more and more and we're getting less and less time.

100

Erefes 🌌❄️🌊 @erefes.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

And I feel like people are trying to take that away from us... Trying to get us to work jobs we don't believe in. I don't want to dedicate my life to something I don't believe in.

120

Erefes 🌌❄️🌊 @erefes.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

And not just content creators, but artists and writers for making such wonderful stories. I just wish I had plenty of time to write the story in its entirety... even if I'm not doing the best job to tell it...

Erefes 🌌❄️🌊 @erefes.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Do you know how soul-crushing it is having an idea and never having the time to bring that idea to life? Forced to focus on a career you don't even believe in? I envy the content creators for having the courage to do what they do for a living. I wish I could just write my stories forever...

I don't know what it is the last week and today in FFXIV, but I'm getting really fed up having to deal with caster DPS and healers pulling everything, including bosses, before the Tank does or when the party is present... =/ Are you people really that in a rush to do nothing?

Summoner but it's a proper pet class again and you summon Egi's again. This time the egi's change your abilities and have unique pet actions. When I say change your abilities, I mean your single-target and AoE spells become the summoned egi's element. Not too much to change but it would be fun lol.

oh your art is messy and full of mistakes? it doesn't mirror properly? the proportions are weird because you grew up on a mix of anime and 3D platformers? you drew on the wrong layer and now the highlights are weird? that rules, dude, show me more; a horrible computer could never make that

I've been in the same boat with gaming as well these days that I feel bad not playing anything. But I guess we just need to wait until we find something that just clicks with us. It's hard finding something that resonates with me nowadays that I turned to other things than gaming.

Sometimes I like to imagine if FFXIV was more a traditional classic FF game where you had to buy spells for jobs. I'd imagine Shadowbringers area's will give you dark spells and Dawntrail would give RDM Vermedica II.

You want diverse art that is complex nuanced and deals with weighty themes? you are not going to get it from the big money companies. you need to embrace art that is unpolished, low budget, rough around the edges, and imperfect.

I didn't have the capability to learn coding to make my story into a game, nor is my art where I'd like it to be to make a comic. So I turned to reading and books and made my story into a book. I've been brewing this story for a very long time and I finally found the perfect iteration for it.
