Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Presuming the HSR/ZZZ collab lineup rumours are true, I would’ve preferred Rappa over Kafka… 220
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 04/10/2026If these buffs ever do materialize—and presuming there would be a free way to procure them—then I’ll need them to expediently develop them for Black Swan; she deserves the best. 100
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Picture this: Topaz plays tour-guide and shows Pearl the museum in Belobog; the planet being closed off for 700 years means that Pearl wouldn’t have been able to study their art yet. 130
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Both Castlevania shows are rather messy; very often prioritizing ‘hype moments and aura’ over the narrative. However I do have to give them “You and me, we’re just killers out of history. It’s time for us to go.” Does pretty much lock Trevor as my favorite Belmont. 130

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 29/09/2026In HSR spaces, it’s crazy how this idea of paid-buffs continues to persist; it’s been around a year with no corroboration and yet every beta still has people speaking on the notion as if there’s evidence for it. 140
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I don’t even care… I’m not even interested in what Pearl has to say about Topaz, Nihilux, Jade, or Aventurine… 122

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Thinking about how Jade said she could cure Firefly’s ELS, with no explanation. Pre-4.0 I’d thought it was just a matter of the IPC having vast resources, but since Planarcadia we now know that the SHs have for all intents-and-purposes an infinite money glitch, and are working with Pearl.- 120

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I didn’t expect Pearl’s marketing to include revealing that Pearl co-parents Numby. 142
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 23/09/2026The new Pearl trailer features a reference to ‘The Comedian’ AKA ‘the banana taped to the wall’. It’s a piece of conceptual art by Maurizio Cattelan, with a slew discourse built around it… and someone called me a slur over it once! 250
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 22/09/20264.x has been a huge push by Pitch Dark Hook the Great’s PR team. 171

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I think gaming as an industry and an audience consider/treat remakes the wrong way. Treating them as upgrades/replacements is fundamentally a poor way to approach a remake; the interesting part of remakes is seeing artists reinterpret each others work. No retelling of Frankenstein is trying- 110
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Starting off here’s my list of the good Spider-Gwen solo comics: Spider-Gwen. By Jason Latour and Robbie Rodriguez. Vernon Vs. Carnage. By Seanan McGuire and Flaviano. And Smash. By Melissa Flores and Enid Balám. These tidbits will be rather minor as a vast majority of E-65’s history is miniscule. 231
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Maybe I should make a post about tidbits I find interesting about Earth-65 that are stuck in mediocre to bad comics… 220

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I hate the way people talk about remakes, no matter the art-form. They’re always discussed through a utilitarian lens, where there has to be an ‘objective’ aspect/aspects that can be definitively ‘improved’, rather than as a legitimate artistic endeavor. 130

Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 09/09/2026So if the only lie Asat ever told Himeko is: “my name is Ryusuke, I’m your father.” Then does that mean he was actually searching for a cure to the weathering curse in his downtime? 110
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 09/09/2026New 2d Metroid, so it was a good direct… Samus’ new attire doesn’t look as good as the Dread suit, but I digress. 020
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I feel like all the hyper-realism discourse in gaming right now comes from people being unable to verbalize their actual issues with something, and instead attributing their problems to a generalized notion, and then uncritically adopting the notion. 100
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I think that time Nicole Demara wore glasses to be a lawyer is really funny; she either actually needs glasses to some extent and just doesn’t wear them, or she got fake glasses to look smart. 120
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Fun fact: Spider-Gwen wore converse in the comics. She got redesigned in the past couple years and now wears different shoes. 110
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I’m not sure why I started hyping up Dollie when I wrote this. Just right in the middle of pontificating the way characters in Planarcadia tried/did exploit Himeko, and then promptly starts talking about Dollie and calls it a day. 020
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 05/09/2026The reason Hoyo kicked Black Swan off the Express is because in her Myriad trailer she has melanin for a few frames, and in Hoyo’s eyes that was too far. 231
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 04/09/2026We can see similar behavior from Fulwish, where Asat and Fulwish only claim a bond with Himeko when they can use her to justify their worldview. Comparatively Dollie actually tells stories about *Himeko* in the two brief dialogue branches she has. Apparently being close enough that Himeko- 120
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 02/09/2026The Spider-Man Unlimited suit is fascinating; it’s perfectly designed for the show it’s in. In the show it’s beautiful, but in every other appearance it’s ever had it’s hideous. 010
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Superman (2025) is such a strange film. One that drops every idea as fast as it establishes them: hoping for Clark to meaningfully engage with the genocide? Too bad, post the interview he never does. Clark’s bio-parents are evil, but that’s dropped the second he gets arrested.- 210
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Asat Pramad spends a lot of time declaring his fondness of Himeko, as well as his place as her father; however the moment those same ideas are brought up by anyone else he immediately denies the concept and falls back on a game-like fascination. Evidently by the events of 4.4 it’s clear- 120
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Jessica Drew’s probably mad as hell seeing the Petra Parker trend; that’s like the 50th character vying for her moniker. 010
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I find it really interesting that TB and Motoko both took a moment where Himeko was incapacitated and overrode a promise she had made. 130
Ephenger @ephenger.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Fun fact: you can actually listen to the music Spider-Gwen’s band makes, a real band (Married With sea Monsters) was hired to perform the song from issue 1 of Spider-Gwen. They also subsequently went on to make a few more songs for the band, but as far as I know those ones weren’t commissioned. 220
