An otter swims right by me as I waded the River Bride in Blackpool this morning. I was so caught by surprise that I could not get my phone camera working. The OPW and Cork City Council plan to bury this entire stretch of river underground. Jack Chambers gave it the go ahead. #cork

Here is the Madden's Buildings historic, #Cork limestone kerbing. 'Stored' at a nearby council-owned site in Blackpool. The council need to outline how they and the contractor plan to restore these and the streetscape at Madden's Buildings.

All supporting acts withdraw from Ed Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Macklemore
Three openers and live band for Sheeran’s tour depart after removal of Macklemore over ‘free Palestine’ comments All four supporting acts for upcoming dates of Ed Sheeran’s Loop tour have withdrawn in solidarity with fellow opening act Macklemore, as backlash grows to his removal from the tour over onstage comments in support of Palestine. Finneas, the singer who was scheduled to open for Sheeran on six South American dates in November, withdrew from the tour on Tuesday afternoon, hours after Sheeran posted his own lengthy statement to Instagram explaining pressure from venue owners to remove Macklemore for pro-Palestine comments made during two shows at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. Public opinion swings SHARPLY in favour of the shark.
"We went off fishing for sharks along the coast of Co
Waterford," Mr Achim told 'All About Cork with Paul Byrne', adding that when he landed what was his first-ever Blue Shark, it "lunged" at him.
"I finally managed to land my first Blue Shark and while I was admiring the catch, the catch decided to lunge at my leg and grab my calf," he said.
"It managed to rip part of my calf and do damage that we required special services for."

They (Cordyline australis) give the appearance of having 'gone wild' in Ballyphehane (Cork city). Although, I think it is the result of a long forgotten and mis-guided planting scheme. Pictures to follow...eventually.
