A dealer local to me has a 'cheap' GranTurismo in at the moment. Advertised with a sagging headlining and several electrical glitches 'spend a grand getting it fixed and make 3 grand' says the ad 🤣

I'm sure they understand it, they just care more about targeting the votes of the kind of affluent people who defected to the Lib Dems in the last GE.

Ireland would have been in Schengen before without the UK staying out of it and the CTA. UK and Ireland are a Schengen package with the CTA.

My V60 is the same. Current issue police in a lot of forces, so people always think the worst, especially when pressing on. Don't get tailgated and people get out of the way.

It was up to 250k when I sold it, I bought it at 135k. Great cars.

To be fair to the Saab, it did me 4 years and 115k miles with very little trouble (just the non-functioning fuel gauge that I never bothered fixing), so it was the right choice.

When I left salaried employment and was looking for cheap wheels in 2001, I went to see a 135k mile Saab 9000 up near Malton selling for £1500 and the guy had a red Biturbo in for the same money. I was so tempted, but I couldn't afford potential financial disaster while newly self employed.

Got some used seats and 4 point harnesses already, looking for a used half cage (seem to be plenty about) and got a Racebox Micro (should be invisible-ish).

I've been looking at other track car options recently, but after a decent chunk of tuition over the weekend at Blyton, I decided there's no point upgrading the machine when the human lacks skill. Also now spending a bit on the car, but used stuff where possible to keep the cost down....

I'm a fan of low value classics. Keeps the investors out of the picture, so the cars are used as intended.

Pressure building up at and beyond Labour Party Conference because: - Brexit even more costly than predicted, hurting economy & damaging public finances - Geopolitical situation: aggressive Russia in east & unreliable USA in west - British public now has a steadily growing majority for rejoining EU

He'll be using blue hydrogen, cracked from natural gas. Basically greenwash as it's only 'green' with carbin capture and storage. If we concentrated on green hydrogen from renewables, that would be green and provide power for heavy industry with energy security as well.

Keeping people dumb is the route to power and wealth for the unscrupulous. The internet is a great tool for misinformation and mind numbing distractions, and that is exactly what it has become.

“But the educated citizen knows how much more there is to know. He knows that "knowledge is power," more so today than ever before. He knows that only an educated and informed people will be a free people, that the ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.”

Corporate colonialism means that offshoring benefits corporations / shareholders and doesn't create enough wealth in those countries, maintaining the world's rich - poor divide. The world economy is all in favour of capital at the moment.

Firstly, we need better education. High skills are the future of high value employment. We cannot attempt to compete on price with lower wage countries. Secondly, poorer, low wage countries need to get richer.
