Soooo I've never had a fan of anything I wrote/show ran send me fan art out of their love for the show. That changed today when the fabulous @karicoolia.bsky.social and her mighty group of #Micronauts fans sent me a 3D print of Biotron, voiced on the series by the mighty Maurice LaMarche! 1/

That show was so much fun, and deserved better treatment than it got. Starting with an actual release.

Gonna be vulnerable and share a page from my sketchbook because I'm tired of seeing curated portfolios on Instagram. Mine looks like hotdog water which makes it the perfect place to try out mediums (in this case oil pastels) Big kusa LOL

A very messy sketchbook that is mostly chicken scratch color pencil and markers strokes and tests. On the bottom is grass painted in oil pastel

I watched Son of Godzilla earlier this month

First panel: Me and my boyfriend (depicted as a bear and pig) on the couch watching Son of Godzilla. Minilla (his official name) is on the TV and he looks so groddy and lumpy with big crybaby eyes. He's making donkey cries like in the movie.
The Second Panel: Close up on me, the background is all black and I look extremely intense. Amidst the loud donkey screeches is a tiny thought bubble of mine that says "This baby is my son now."

Temporarily obsessed with Minilla “I’m the baby, gotta love me” #godzilla

Doodles of Minilla, largely based on his chibi design from Godziban. He looks lumpy and groddy but you forgive him because he is cute and a baby.

My genuine opinion is that a lot of people seem to only go off of like, 'iconic panels', or covers - they are usually the more popular artworks of these parts. I really think that, over time, the characters' quirks and traits are more noticeable! But a lot of it happens in smaller, quieter scenes.

FYI I fucking love Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It's one of my favorite things EVER. You can still criticize something you love!

Oh yeah, by the way, NO ONE IS PERFECT!

000

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

I swear, people sometimes think the artists they admire are flawless. Please, never do that. No one is perfect. ALWAYS doubt (ok dont always but NEVER NOT DOUBT).

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Again the fact that I haven't read them yet is a valid crack in my arguement, but I think I've seen enough to feel like they all have the same face 😭😭😭

100

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

I will admit I have not read SBR or Jojolion or Jojolands, but from the art I've seen ... Nah they aint beating the allegations ... Johnny looks like Gyro, who looks like Valentine, who looks loke Hot Pants, who looks like Josuke, who looks like Tooru, who looks like Jodio, who looks like

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Also it's not even a valid criticism to say it mogs your favorite anime 😭😭😭😭 So what if the face is pretty? It's still the same face, and in a character design perspective, it makes for a very similar looking, thus non-dynamic, cast of characters.

100

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

I'm particularly bothered by his point near the end of the short. Sure, Araki did find a face he "rode till its wheels came off", and YES, no one is stopping him and he is allowed to, but that doesn't change the fact that *the characters mostly wear the same face*

100

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

No one is perfect. Do not ever worship your idols. No one is perfect.

100

EnzomusPrime @enzomusprime.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

I just watched a YT shorts video defending Araki's apparent "same face syndrome" for the new universe parts. (7-9) .. I highly disagree, and it sounds more like people over-glazing a creator and how they can't take any VALID criticism for their beloved franchise.

Also that convenience store behind the Romythria trio was literally taken from Kill Me Baby Ep.4. Yeah its canon Kill Me Baby is in Evergreen now

A screencap from episode 4 of the Kill Me Baby anime. Sonya (the blonde girl) stands in the foreground, facing away from the camera and at Yasuna (the brown-haired girl), who just bought herself a popsicle.

Meeting Notes

Drawing of a dude angrily saying "Oh my god, stop it with all the portfolio days already"

A strange looking marshmallow person puts a hand on their shoulder and says "Hey whats the matter? Don't like artists sharing work, trying to get paying gigs in 2026?"

The dude says "No! I love artists. I love seeing their work. It's so important we promote authentic human talent *sniff*"

Marshmallow man says - Well shut it then
