Another for instance! Down in Queensland, Australia, fossil gas used to provide all the peak power. Then batteries start nibbling at it. Then chomping on it. And now they've basically eaten it all up. No more gas. Look at this graphic! Glorious. reneweconomy.com.au/big-batterie...

What will industrial carbon pricing cost the oil sands sector if the Canada-Alberta MOU moves forward? Our latest research shows costs would be minimal—just a Timbit per barrel if the price reaches $130/t in 2030. ow.ly/QtNF50Yslm5

Let's be clear about what happened today. Premier Smith introduced a bill to strip Albertans of Charter rights, denied MLAs the opportunity to debate it and the courts the ability to scrutinize it, and did all of this from her seat on a jet to Saudi Arabia.

44% increase in November last year. I was told "cost of building materials" was the reason when called.

Not to be pedantic but the $50 million comes from the TIER fund which specifically is polluters paying.

Here's an #upshift since we really need one right now: Sublime just signed a deal with Microsoft to sell up to 622,500 tons of electrochemically produced cement over a period of 6 - 9 years. Sublime says "for scale, that's enough to build roughly 31 NFL stadiums." 🔌💡 www.linkedin.com/posts/sublim...

WTI crude less than a buck and a half off the $50s. Down more than $10/bbl over 48 hours. Hear that? That's the sound of the US shale patch grinding to a halt.

Useful chart from Bloomberg. Trump says bilateral deficit with Canada means we're subsidizing them. But more than all the imbalance is energy. This means they send us oil & gas, we send them IOUs. This is a subsidy?

Wolverine: listed as Special Concern in Canada by SARA, 'may be at risk' and 'data deficient' in Alberta. Lifting trapping quotas is clearly a new threat to a species that appears to be in decline. I agree with Jason - also about never forgetting the 1st sighting theconversation.com/albertas-lif...

Alberta’s lifting of restrictions on wolverine trapping could spell disaster for a declining population
Alberta’s move to lift restrictions on trapping activities is scientifically unsound and will hasten population decline across the province.

Key figure in the US DoE #LNG study: Coal-to-gas transition is a small part of how US LNG will be used globally, and much of it simply adds new gas generation. Impact on global emissions with & without unconstrained US LNG is ~0 (but slightly positive). www.energy.gov/sites/defaul...
