I've implemented perhaps the best horn I've ever seen in a car-based video entertainment Too few let you do that short tap "I'm trying to be polite but get the fuck out of the way my guy" thing Also too few have a bird that beeps along with the horn, but that's a separate issue. We've solved both.

Outside funding can be a trap because even with a hit game the amount you see after recoup is greatly reduced *and* if you're spending 500k+ making a game you're proooobably not learning how to run a lean studio which means to survive your next game you need funding again and so on and so forth

vintage story cares deeply about its world, but goes so hard on survival/realism it puts a damper on player expression* block game falls somewhere in the middle. i want it to have an established world but also want that world to be a canvas for player expression without getting in the way too much

thinking about where block game lands on the player expression spectrum compared to minecraft and vintage story minecraft seems to care only about player expression to the point its "world" is an abstract thing that functions as a canvas for players with some bits thrown in to stimulate loretubers

OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes
