What surprised you about your Wrapped this year? For me, I didn’t think my listening age would be THAT old 🤣 and I truly believed Don Toliver would be higher on my list of favorite artists. Dang sure didn’t think I’d be in the top .5% or Lil Baby fans 🙌🏾

Top songs: messy, deeper, nobody, stuff, free promo

Top albums: WHAM, heroes and villains, GNX, mixtape Pluto, into

Top artists: lil baby, future, don toliver, Travis Scott, partynextdoor

Great question! So we actually did a mash up, playing a chunk of each of these songs: Luther Vandross - if this world were mine; Patti Laballe - if you only knew; and ending with Barry White - my first, my last, my everything It was awesome

“That pull back came due to cost cutting to prioritize investments into artificial intelligence technology as well as the changing political and legal landscape amid increasing national anti-DEI policies.” www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/08/...

Google has dropped more than 50 DEI-related organizations from one of its funding lists

The dropped groups had mission statements that included the words "diversity, "equity," "inclusion," or "race," "activism," and "women."

While I plan a wedding, I love how businesses love to make me seem unhinged for having the nerve to question charges on a quote and alter things to reduce costs. Yall aren’t about to run me or Fran for our pennies. This industry is at least 50% them trying to rake people over the financial coals.

A fun part of my career I hadn't expected: finding the people you want to continually be part of your career journey. I'm slowly, but surely building a "would work with them again in a heartbeat" crew and I love it so much.

I was in Mexico City last week and as I was waiting to board my plane, this American man started loudly talking to me saying he’s lived there for 12 years but the country is run so poorly and stupidly. I can’t remember the last time I distanced myself from someone that fast. Leave if you hate it.

Happy Thursday, sky folk. Looking for a good resource on tuning jdbc I/O tasks and data flow params for a beam migration pipeline I'm working on. I've tried all the obvious things, but it still takes about 2 hours on something I think shouldn't. Also already checked DB settings, locks and such. 😔

It really annoys me when people make comments like this because it implies you’re not trying to make changes within. You speak for yourself but it’s also so much better to have someone who gives a damn in your position than another person who couldn’t care less about the humans behind the tech.

Absolutely. And folks who are worth anything will appreciate the push as long as they know it’s coming from a place of wanting everyone to be their best.

If you manage people, you HAVE to be able to have uncomfortable conversations about performance. If you’re unwilling, you’re not only doing a disservice to the person that reports to you, but the entire team and those they interact with. It’s uncomfortable but practice makes good (not perfect lol)

I ordered some fresh baked cookies to be delivered to my home and GrubHub just called me to say not only that my cookies had been stolen, but that the store won't be remaking them 💔 Real pain lol

Ran into a guy that knew me in college & one of his first questions was "Are you still as fit as you were in college?" Bro. Don't you see these two chiseled weapons on my sides & these sensually defined thunder thighs?! Come on now. The answer is forever yes lol (Don't quote me on this when I'm 50)

Usually doing more than their job description is what gets folks promoted. You show you can do it and you (hopefully) are rewarded for it

That’s real. At least let me know what I’m getting myself into and I can make an informed decision.
