Today is the Christian feast of Michaelmas, also known as the Feast of the Archangels or the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels. Asters are known as ’Michaelmas Dasies’ because of their late flowering. In Cymraeg / Welsh we call them ‘Blodau Ffarwel yr Hâf’ - ‘Farewell to the Summer Flowers’.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
