So I can't draw gore to save my life (the descriptions in the fic were so good and gruesome!) but this line from Constellate by @tierfal.bsky.social had me cracking up. 10/10 Endhawks dialogue, amazing fic, can't wait for the rest of it!

budget issues aside, that's why i'll always defend the book deviations. doing a 1 on 1 adaption would please the fans immensely yes, but it would betray the show's spirit and visual artistry they have built. it would be just a book adaption, not a natural continuation of iwtv.

Every problem with other attempts at adapting a fan-favorite property comes down to compromise out of fear. The inevitable “We can’t do X because Y.” Fans won’t like it or the audience won’t get it. It’s why the MCU (and every comic adaptation, frankly) became rote and tired almost immediately.

Six episodes into The Vampire Lestat and Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are doing work that ought to be nominated for Emmys, Golden Globes, something, anything. The two seasons of Interview With The Vampire were fun, campy as hell, but this is something altogether better and still fun, campy as hell.

from the little I've seen of the books there's wonderful dialogue but the show has done brilliant job conveying most of it with short sentences, symbolism and delivery etc bc they have done good talented writers. i can't explain it but i can tell when there's dialogue that's just rushing thru book
