The cats have got the connection between sitting and minnows a little too well and sit immediately before I give the command. So now have to make them un-sit and not give them the treat until I say it.

The vet recommended I try to eliminate chicken to help the cats’ occasional GI issues and it’s surprisingly hard to find a dry food without chicken products snuck in. Even when chicken is not on the front of the bag. The people at the pet store were so helpful!

After only a few times giving Meg and Cooper a minnow while they were sitting they caught on pretty quickly they’d get more if they sat when I asked! Still not every time but I think they have mostly learned their first trick!

My dr said I had no limits to walking in the boot but probably didn’t realized that I meant walking 2 miles total with 40 cans of cat food on the way home. The break area feels fine but the heel is not sufficient to do that again until I’m in shoes. Thankfully that’s enough cans of food!

Rereading Endless Night by Agatha Christie. It’s one of the most underrated of her novels. It’s so devastating though. I’m not sure I’ll finish it. The tense buildup to the end is devastating.

The cats hate the oral syringe supplement for their GI issue. Vet said to give it 2x day 2-3 days and I’m giving up day 2 as they hate it and no treats or toys will entice them to be able to grab em. At least they like the power one that goes in their food as that’s for several more days.
