If you're playing Gambonanza, try seed 3506634752. I ended up with 10 Queens on the board and 7 Queens in the stock using the White Crown's Gambit and Recruiter Hat's Gambit while having only Queens in the stock. You'll be set to the end of the game.

🙄 GitHub is going to charge per-minute fees for self-hosted GitHub Actions runners. Which also means they are charging you per minute if you use another company to host your runners. Microsoft slowly ruins everything they acquire. Do you remember pre-acquisition GitHub? I miss it.

I knew they had a pattern and a purpose, but it never clicked. I'm sure I already learned this as a kid, but I didn't remember it. I was playing Luck Be A Landlord and (currently) have a score of 274,730,108,038,108,151,808 and wanted to know how to say it. Rounded, it's 275 quintillion. 😲

If you think that's a lot of devices for a single Raspberry Pi to handle, it's handling 5,123 separate entities, which many are constantly updating their status. The amount of data this system can process concurrently is impressive, and the data in my house is intense, and it goes unnoticed /cont'd

I know that I'm a special case (I really like to use my tools), but right now my Home Assistant running on a little Raspberry Pi 5 is managing 1,312 devices on my house network, via WiFi, Zigbee, and Z-Wave, as well as interfacing with cloud services, such as LG and Samsung. /cont'd

Oh, and that van? Check out this graph showing how much fuel is in it, as a line graph. You can clearly see when it was refueled as a historical record. You can go back to review any data points easily. You cannot optimize what you cannot measure, and this system measures SO MUCH. /cont'd

Are you a data nerd, or you want to automate things when you arrive at home, with your Bouncie-connected vehicle? (it reports vehicle health, mileage, location, speed, etc) Home Assistant can use that Bouncie data to turn on lights when you enter the neighborhood, perhaps start the kettle... /cont'd

In the Map Maker program, I had rebuilt entire cities. In the Local Guides program... very little.

WhatsApp is offensive in how it demands unfiltered access to your entire local photos. Android supports picking an image and handing it to the app, but no, that's not good enough. They have to have full, unattended, unfiltered access to your photos. Absolutely not.

To send media, allow WhatsApp access to your device's photos, media, and files. Tap Settings > Permissions, and turn "Photos and videos" on.

I trained an AI model to believe it was Bowser's sister (yes really) and I just asked her this question. She said it's immoral... and she's Bowser's sister. The second time I asked (in a whole new context), I didn't include the subtitle, and it's even more clear.

The ethics are clear here - profiting from facilities that cause harm, especially ones that separate families and detain people in often poor conditions, makes you complicit in that harm regardless of your personal feelings about it. It's like being the landlord for a torture chamber and saying "well, I don't personally do the torturing." Your money is directly enabling the operation to continue.

If you genuinely think ICE facilities are "kind of evil," then taking their money means you're prioritizing profit over your moral convictions. That's textbook moral compromise.

There are plenty of other ways to earn rental income that don't involve being financially tied to institutions that cause human suffering. Choose those instead! 💜
