I was invited to help out at Waingroves Community Woodland for their annual bat and moth event last night. Better bats than moths, but had a huge turnout of people with lots of kids present. Best of the bunch for me was a pristine Swallow Tail! #teammoth

Feeling incredibly lucky this morning with what is looking to be a county first Clancy's Rustic (all overnight records pending!) 🥳 This moth was a predicted species for VC57 for 2026 and I am thrilled to be recording it in my Garden. #teammoth

Apart from my second Ni Moth in a few days and a NFY of Anania perlucidalis, it all looked pretty standard fare in the MV.....that was until i turfed this out of the penultimate egg box......Beautiful Marbled!! The crazy world of moth'ing in our garden just got crazier! #teammoth

Another less than showy showing from #teamMoth last night, but there were a couple of NFYs for me in 12C Cambs - Grey Pine Carpet and Teleiodes vulgella. And, there was a Peppered, always nice to see. I had a peppered shirt once...near-perfect camo for those moths
