31:14 on another rainy night. I don’t usually trap in wet weather but I used an extra Perspex cover. The trap was dry this morning but there weren’t a lot in it! A nicely coloured Turnip and Black Rustics, Barred Sallows and Large Ranunculusses again #teammoth

This cheeky chappy appeared on a very rainy one last night but although common, has only appeared twice in my garden, the last time July 19th ‘25. (Usual FS is July/August) Anyway. He flew off and landed on a snail and went for a white-knuckle ride 😆 NFY male Yellow-tail 💛🤍 #teammoth

This is getting too silly now. The black markings on the outer hook are more diffuse this time but the flashes are white again. Much darker this time overall. Spiny Hook-tip no.3 …because I reckon they’re all coming from the one local patch of oak..maybe 🤓 #teammoth

115:25 VC33 Stroud Another soggy end to the night with a Beet moth that looked like it had gone on holiday by mistake… 😉 (just a few records for this square) but others hiding amongst the LYUs were Lime-speck Pug, a pair of L-albums and a gorgeous Frosted chocolate Orange #teammoth

A soggy old trap full of LYUs and Vine’s Rustic made up the majority (79) out of 126:24 but surprisingly, given the weather, the interesting ones were on the outside.. Pine Carpet, very washed out but just about recognisable, was NFG and other notables were a pair of Evergestis limbata #teammoth
