It didn't work for me for SIX years, no new followers int hat time. Since doing Kelsey Rodriguez's course I've been having loads of action! It's all about the content! If only a million views was a million sales haha!

Yeah, I've been on her course since feb! It's so good - although I hadn't thought about this as bonding and i'm not sure my 'ideal audience' are seeing it (once it goes viral, it is sort of taking on a life of its own). I HOPE that if I do a post similar to this with a CTA that it will make sales!

Don't support the perfume company The Salt Works - I just got their discovery set and it had a booklet in it, printed on v fancy paper stock. EVERY perfume in the set is 'illustrated' with gen AI images, old ones at that. I feel cheated and of course have sent a strongly worded email lol

Where is this? How did they get to this 'number'? It would cost more than $40 probably just in reference images!

21 here today (much much further north than you too!), it's so weird. It is getting pretty cold at night though, down to 4 the other night and loads of mists on the fields in the mornings!

Still one of my favourite dragons. A wood dragon from Strangehollow, a book you will find in my shop here: buff.ly/kor46L0 #dragon #dragonart #greendragon #wooddragon #bestiary
watercolour - the head and neck of a green dragon covered in antler/horn like growths all around its head and neck. Its nose is pink and its eyes are shiny and black and it has a benign expression.

The Mountain Unicorn, from my book Secrets Of Strangehollow (second in the Strangehollow world), excerpt in alt text: buff.ly/7krkipG #unicorn #unicornmyth #myth #folklore #
When the nights draw in and autumn has taken hold, the mountain
unicorns will begin the journey to their annual rut. These elusive
creatures live high in the snowy mountain peaks where they are well
camouflaged because of their pure white coats. In the middle of the
night, just as the first full moon of October appears in the sky, these
magical beasts will make their way down from the heights. They appear
out of the mist like ghostly apparitions on the grassy hills that stretch
from the base of the mountains right down to the edges of the forest.

(Image description) a white goat-like unicorn stands on top of a hill in front of a starry sky and mountains in the distance behind him. He calls out into the night, his breath white in the cold air...

'The Chase' Painting from my book Savage Strangehollow, excerpt about these dragons in alt text: buff.ly/7krkipG #dragon #dragonchase #dragons #fantasy #folklore #dragonlore
Every couple of generations or so, the mountains of Strangehollow are
visited by a true goliath from the west. This dragon visits these lands for
one reason only, to hunt The Red Death.
It is the colour of night, its long neck covered in giant pointed scales
which extend over its back and down to the tip of its tail. Its wings are
vast, engulfing the land below in shadow and able to turn day into night.
Its arrival always coincides with a violent lightning storm, starting far out
at sea and sweeping towards the western shores of Strangehollow and the
great mountain range where the red dragons dwell. It is believed that the
dragon itself...

Fucksake. It really shows where the loyalty lies with the law doesn't it. Protest about genocide? In the clink. Harass, assault and try to kill people? No problem mate.

I love this wonderful poster that @librariesunlimited.bsky.social have made for my Stitchwort display! I'm setting up on Tuesday, then you have all of October and November to go and see. There's some brilliant events happening in the library throughout that time, including comic con on 10th October!

Thank you! I treated it like watercolour and I’ve used regular acrylics in the past (hate them lol). It is jus the frustration of not being able to lift the pigment in the same way you can with watercolour

Selkies, from my book Seas Of Strangehollow, the third in my Strangehollow world. You can find the books here: buff.ly/7krkipG #selkies #mermaid #merfolk #folklore #fairytales #artbook
Unlike mermaids, which you will also find in both western and southern
seas, selkies prefer the cold waters of the kelp forests of the west. There
are no white sandy beaches here, just a coastline dotted with rocks, cliffs
and occasional dark sand beaches. The ocean is deeper here, and where
the kelp forests end there is an underwater cliff edge which gives way to
unfathomable depths. Great beasts loom in the deep, creatures from
stories which chill the blood in your veins.
The selkies of Strangehollow are not shapeshifters like those you may
have read about in old folk tales. They are not dissimilar to mermaids in
that their upper bodies, down to their hips, are...

Image description: two half woman, half seal selkies swim amongst the sea kelp. They have staring white eyes and webbed hands.

thank you! i used them as if they were watercolours (lot sof wet in wet to start and v thin washes after that). It was basically that they don't lift - but they're more forgiving than regular ink I think, at least i've found that!

From what I've read we are NO where near generative ai with sentience. It's just pattern recognition isn't it but people think it's actually thinking!

Emily Hare @emilyhare.com · 24/09/2026
Would be tricky because ANYTHING LLM related is being labelled AI now, when most of us who are anti AI, are anti the theft - the art, the photography, the music, the movies. TOTALLY should be illegal! But don't think anywhere would do it, they'r already letting them get away with mass theft.

Trying out a new medium (acrylic ink) and doing my first self portrait in 10 years! It’s a bit too pink, and I lost the white of the paper on the bottom lip, but I am pleased with the outcome! I still prefer watercolour 😂
Portrait of me in acrylic ink. I have dark curly hair with a lot of grey and blue eyes and a square shaped face

Thank you Justynn, yeah it’s not cheap when things are tight. I plan to do it for a year to see what happens and then at the end I’d have enough story for a small book! Glad you like the idea! :)
