Here is a picture of the head of Russia's Presidential Security Service (i.e., Putin's bodyguards) with the oligarch/gangster who bankrolled Don Jr.'s wedding, Umar Kremlev. The chief bodyguard has used his influence w/ Putin to funnel assets to Kremlev. Unfuckingbelievable. My head is spinning.

About Kremlev's relative nastiness, btw. AND he participates in the kidnapping and brainwashing/forced russification of Ukrainian children, per the propublica article. IE, hes a genocidaire too. So quite a bit worse than "pretty nasty," but generally a nasty kind of guy as well!

Umar Kremlev is a pretty nasty guy. I feel like he can't be fun at parties

After more than four years of fighting in Ukraine, “Russia’s economy and society have been reorganized around war,” write @seva.bsky.social and @jeremymorris.bsky.social. In fact, “war has so transformed the economy that it might collapse without it.”
