Bertrand Russell, one of the mathematicians associated with the crisis of foundations in mathematics in the early 20th century. He tried to co-write a book defining all math and logic from first principles, until Gödel fucked it up for everybody.

This is a really fascinating research demo, from the lab of Mohit Iyyer at the University of Maryland: It predicts the likelihood that the ideas contained in a piece of text are AI-generated versus human-generated. A couple of examples in this thread.

IdeaLens: is this text human or AI?
We check a text's ideas and prose separately.

the scope and scale of a scam that involves so many people and so much money would be impressive. (i don't care how you feel about AI. if you don't like it, i'm not gonna tell you to change your mind.)

Thing I love: Knowledge about how to produce antibiotics is widespread. You just need certain molds. You can literally make antibiotics yourself if you're motivated to (may take a bit of time to find the right mold). We never have to go back. Even if society breaks down. The knowledge is there.
