doing some freeform/unplanned pottery painting ❤️ i really like how the spiral pattern looks with the other shapes overlapping it. something i want to try in other pieces. i always forget how much i like doodling and just making art for fun lol this is a reminder to myself to do this more often!

love a good before & after glaze firing comparison. so shiny! ✨ #pottery #ceramics #underglaze #art

Unglazed ceramic plate painted with a red-and-black pattern and a handwritten quote in newspaper font. Quote reads: "ARE YOUR GROCERIES CLEAN?" The dust blown about by the wind in a city street is full of bacteria and all sorts of vile contamination. If fruits and vegetables are exposed for sale on the sidewalk without covering, they must invariably accumulate a stock of filth which is not a good thing for the stomachs of human beings."

Same plate as in the previous image, but clear glazed and fired. The colors are much more vibrant and glossy.

preview of an upcoming project/video!! very excited about this one This skull was made by @phasesoftheyoon.bsky.social and it's my friend now ❤️💀❤️ #pottery #ceramics #sculpture #art #underglaze #handwriting #poem

Artist painting black text on a porcelain skull sculpture. The text is a poem called "Starving: A Plea to Dr. Wiley." So far it reads: "What are these awful food laws, that are being passed, about, adulteration and misbranding? Is the universal shout. / Don't eat tomato catsup, if you do not want to die, for the benzoate of soda, puts your insides all awry." There are many more stanzas written in pencil.

These fish cups will be in our show opening in person and online Saturday at @goodearthpottery.bsky.social . @emikomay.bsky.social did the drawings based on an 1850s German how-to book for housewives. These women did some serious labor. #fish #illustration #mug #mugs #art #prep #pottery #ceramics

Two stacks of 3 mugs each. These porcelain mugs have Japanese textile inspired designs on red lower halves and on the upper half a black ink like drawing of a fish being prepared for eating. The pictures are inspired by an 1850s German instruction manual for housewives.

taking a trip back through memory lane (my camera roll) to look at my old art! this is a self portrait from my first proper drawing class in community college, around 2011 anatomy issues aside, i think it's a pretty decent drawing tbh. it looks like me if my face just got a bit smooshed around
