I gave myself half an hour this morning and got the star blanks cut and the speech bubble stamped and cut. I’m going to refine the bubble so it fits a bit better before soldering, but it was exactly what the design needed! #silversmith #metalwork

I took two silversmith classes this week, and made my first pieces! Also, I met the shop cat and he let me give him skritches.

If you don’t heat up the los it’s less like someone ripped a huge fart and more like la croix if they dropped a rotten egg flavor. If you work in a small area like me, I recommend room temp. I think it took like 10-15 minutes to get an acceptable patina, so it really doesn’t require heat at all!

My bezel wire arrived and I finished up a gift. Citrine and sterling. Also the first time I’ve used liver of sulfur. I didn’t heat it up because all heat does for pickle and los is speed up the reaction and I’m just never in that much of a hurry 🤪big fan tho! #silversmith #metalwork

Six kyanite charms/pendants finished! Scratched one, again 🫠 but the other five went really well so HA I also finished a second moss agate pendant. I’m practicing and experimenting with batch workflow, but I don’t actually know where I’ll be selling these…might need to figure that out.
