The youngest person his pager attack killed was 9-year-old Fatima Abdullah, who had just started 4th grade. The pager was on a table when it went off and she picked it up to take to her dad. It exploded in her face and reports said it covered the room in her blood. She wanted to learn English.

Whatever you do, dont read the comments on Newstalk' instagram reel about this story 😆 “I have 9 points from the n80 camera, one at 88km, one at 86km, one at 85km” So, they were caught speeding 3 times. In the same location. Like, does it never occur to these people to just, you know, slow down?

I've driven there recently, there's plenty of time to slow down. There's no anomaly, just people refusing to take responsibility for their own actions. My local Labour TD has spent most of this year advocating for speeding motorists.

All over France you have infra like this in all towns and villages. This is from a main 80 road to a 30 town zone. No messing or farting around, just slow the fuck down right now.

An excellent resource. However lots of missing greenways like the Boyne, Blessington, Castlebar, Conamara, the Barrow. Criteria states they include "greenways over 20km in length" and yet they included several which are well below that (Dublin Port; Tralee-Fenit; South-East), any idea why?

Ed Moynihan @emcreative.ie · 24/09/2026
Yeah it’s perfectly sign posted from 100kph to 80kph and anyone who can’t slow down in time is speeding and deserves a fine. It sums up Ireland’s whole attitude to road safety where we just don’t take things like speed signs seriously.

This story was unbelievable. The whole country is crying out for more enforcement, for more use of technology to make our roads safer (5 roads deaths this week), yet a @labour.ie TD is giving out about a speed camera and defending people who break the law.

What nonsense. An efficient public transport system practically pays for itself by getting more and more people out of private cars, reducing congestion, emissions and lots more. Increasing the cost of it will only drive more people back to their cars and cost more for everyone in the long run.
