Elwood and I have officially skipped town for the weekend and landed in our happy place: the cozy cabin nestled deep in the forest. The only "noise" here is the gentle rustle of leaves and the occasional chirp of a bird. Have a great 4th of July folks! 😁😸🌲🏕️✨
A beautiful domestic shorthair cat with tabby markings, Elwood, looks thoughtfully into the distance, her whiskers fanned out, as she enjoys the serene beauty of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. She's wearing a red collar with a tracker adorned with a cute pink bow, and the soft focus background shows lush green trees.

Second year at our favorite 91-year-old Peavy Cabin! Arrived on a beautiful sunny afternoon (like photo 1 & 4) Woke up to cold and snowy (like photo 2). But we're so cozy inside by the fire (like photo 3 with Elwood!). Love this place! #PeavyCabin #CabinLife #SnowDay #Cozy #WallowaWhitmanNF
A wide-angle outdoor shot captures a peaceful setting with a tabby cat, Elwood, as the central subject. Elwood, a domestic shorthair, is positioned on a weathered wooden picnic table that extends from the lower right foreground towards the center. The cat is facing slightly to the left, looking directly at the viewer. Her fur displays distinct stripes and swirls in shades of brown and black, characteristic of a tabby, and her ears are perked.
Behind the picnic table, to the left, is a folded camping chair with a blue fabric seat. In the background, a rustic log cabin with a dark brown roof and a prominent stone chimney stands among tall, slender pine trees. The cabin has visible log construction, a small window, and a dark wooden door on its right side. A large, white propane tank is visible to the right of the cabin, partially hidden by the trees and tall grass.
The ground is covered in lush green grass with scattered patches of sunlight and shadow. The sky above is a clear, vibrant blue with wispy white clouds. The overall impression is one of a serene natural environment, a secluded Forest Service cabin in Wallowa Whitman National Forest, with Elwood enjoying the outdoor setting.
A vertical outdoor shot captures a tranquil forest scene where light snow has just fallen, dusting a vibrant green meadow and the surrounding evergreen trees. In the foreground, a field of lush green grass is lightly powdered with white snowflakes, creating a speckled appearance. The grass appears soft and slightly flattened in areas.
Beyond the meadow, numerous tall, dark green coniferous trees dominate the midground and background. Their branches are lightly coated with fresh snow, highlighting their needles and creating a striking contrast against the dark green foliage. The trees vary in height and density, suggesting a natural, unmanaged forest. Some smaller, younger trees are interspersed among the larger ones.
The sky is a soft, overcast gray, indicating continued snowfall or recent snow. There are no clear horizons or distinct features in the sky. The overall impression is one of a quiet, pristine winter landscape where the first snow has transformed a green forest into a serene, almost magical setting.
A cozy, rustic interior shot of Peavy Cabin, a 91-year-old historic log cabin, features a female domestic shorthair cat, Elwood, relaxing on a bunk bed. The walls and ceiling are constructed from rough-hewn logs, giving the space a warm, natural feel.
On the left side of the image, a sturdy wooden bunk bed occupies the space. Elwood, a tabby, is comfortably curled up on the top bunk, facing towards the right side of the frame, with her head slightly lifted. Next to her on the bunk is a black bag. Both the top and bottom bunks have dark-colored mattresses. Below the bunk bed, in the lower left corner, a blue camping chair with a blue blanket draped over it is visible on a dark rug.
On the right side of the cabin, a large stone fireplace dominates the scene. A fire glows warmly inside the metal firebox, casting an inviting orange light. Several logs are stacked on the hearth in front of the fireplace. Above the fireplace, a wooden mantelpiece holds a collection of books, board games like "Clue," and other small items. A window with a dark red curtain pulled to one side is visible between the bunk bed and the fireplace. The floor in the center of the cabin is made of large, light-colored tiles, transitioning to a darker, possibly wood or carpeted area near the bunk beds. The overall impression is one of a lived-in, comfortable cabin retreat within this historic structure.
An outdoor, eye-level shot captures Elwood, a female domestic shorthair cat with tabby markings, sitting regally on a large, weathered log. Elwood is positioned slightly to the left of the frame, facing right and looking intently into the distance. She is wearing a small, decorative pink bowtie on a dark collar, adorned with a white and purple floral pattern.
The log she is sitting on is light-colored and appears to be old and bleached, possibly a fallen tree trunk. Its textured surface and visible grain are prominent. To Elwood's left, a rough, broken, and weathered branch is still attached to the log she is perched upon, providing a natural upright element.
The background is softly blurred but reveals a vibrant green grassy area with taller blades of grass in the immediate foreground, particularly on the right side. Beyond the grass, a sparse forest of tall evergreen trees rises under a bright, clear blue sky, suggesting a sunny day in a natural, serene environment.

Just look at this beauty! Elwood enjoying a little tree time. 😻 #catlife #tabbycat #naturecat
This captivating image features Elwood, a stunning domestic shorthair cat, gracefully perched on a moss-covered tree branch. The close-up shot allows us to appreciate the intricate details of her tabby coat, with its mesmerizing stripes and swirls of brown and gray. Her striking yellow-green eyes are alert and focused, gazing intently towards the right side of the frame, hinting at her keen observation of the world around her.
The soft, natural light of what appears to be a sunny day illuminates her features, casting subtle shadows that add depth to the image. The background is artfully blurred, drawing our attention solely to Elwood while still providing a glimpse of her outdoor setting. We can see hints of vibrant green foliage and a bright sky with patches of blue and white peeking through the branches, suggesting she's enjoying a moment in nature. The texture of the tree branch, with its patches of moss or lichen, adds a touch of organic detail to the scene, grounding Elwood in her environment. Her posture on the branch suggests both comfort and attentiveness, a perfect snapshot of a curious and lovely feline.

Brightening up rocky slopes! ☀️ Check out this vibrant Eriophyllum lanatum, also known as the common woolly sunflower or Oregon sunshine. Such a cheerful sight! #WoollySunflower #OregonSunshine #NativePlants #Wildflowers #PNW 🌿
A close-up, top-down shot shows a single, bright yellow Oregon sunshine flower (Eriophyllum lanatum) in full bloom. The flower has several lance-shaped petals radiating from a darker yellow, textured central disk. A small, dark insect is perched on the central disk. The flower is surrounded by a bed of smooth, gray and brown pebbles and some sparse, silvery-green foliage of the same plant, including unopened flower buds. One of the pebbles in the lower right has some faint, illegible white markings on it.
A medium shot captures a cluster of Oregon sunshine flowers (Eriophyllum lanatum) growing out of crevices in a rocky cliff face. Several bright yellow, daisy-like flowers with lance-shaped petals and darker yellow centers are visible at varying heights on slender, light green stems covered in fine, silvery hairs. Numerous unopened flower buds, also covered in silvery hairs, are interspersed among the blooming flowers. The rough, textured rock behind the plant is various shades of gray and brown, showing natural layers and cracks. The plant appears to be thriving in this rocky environment.Behold, a tenacious bloom, a star fallen to the stony embrace of the mountainside! 'Tis the Oregon sunshine, they say, or the woolly sunflower to some, though its radiance outshines any fleece. Seven sun-hued blossoms, each a miniature wheel of fire, unfurl their slender rays against the rugged tapestry of the cliff.
Mark well the stems, like pale green quills dipped in silver frost, reaching skyward with a delicate strength. And the buds, like tiny, sleeping sprites, cloaked in downy white, awaiting their turn to burst forth in golden glory.
The ancient stones themselves, a titan's puzzle of grays and browns, cradle this vibrant life. From their unyielding embrace, the flower springs, a testament to nature's fierce and gentle heart. A pocket of brilliance amidst the stoic, silent rock. A wild beauty, singing its silent song upon the lonely heights.

Lost in a sea of wild grasses under a soft Washington sky. That little dark shape in the middle? That's Elwood, her tail a periscope in this green and gold landscape. You can almost hear the rustling! 🐾 #PNW #AdventureCat
The image shows a field of tall, light-colored grasses in the foreground. Given the location in Southeastern Washington, it's likely that the grasses are one of the region's common varieties, such as Bluebunch Wheatgrass, Idaho Fescue, or possibly even Cheatgrass. The grasses appear to be mature and have seed heads.
In the middle ground, a dark shape is visible amongst the grasses. This is the rear view of Elwood, with her tail sticking straight up in the air. Behind the field, there's a band of trees and shrubs, and further back, a hillside with some sparse vegetation is visible under a soft, overcast sky. A river, reflecting the muted light, can be seen through the trees in the mid-ground. The overall impression is of a natural, somewhat wild, grassy area with a rural or semi-rural backdrop, featuring Elwood with her tail raised.

The hillside slopes upwards from the bottom left to the top right of the frame, suggesting a sunny exposure. Super swamped at work lately, juggling tasks and training new folks! So sorry for the quiet spell online. Missing our chats and will catch up as soon as I can! Thanks for understanding! 😊 #busylife #sorryimlate #willbebacksoon
Lost in the tranquility of nature, my sweet Elwood embodies pure feline contentment. Perched gracefully on a branch that tells a story of its own – kissed by velvety moss in shades of deep green and adorned with intricate patterns of silvery-grey lichen – her intricate tabby coat, a tapestry of swirling charcoal and warm browns, blends seamlessly with the textured bark. Sunlight filters through the delicate spring leaves, dappling her fur with golden highlights and accentuating the subtle stripes that run along her flanks. Her captivating golden eyes, pools of focused curiosity, are fixed on something just beyond the frame, hinting at the quiet dramas unfolding in the undergrowth. Perhaps the earthy scent of the moss and the crisp air invigorate her senses as she takes in her treetop vista. A gentle breeze might rustle the surrounding foliage, creating a soft symphony that she seems perfectly attuned to. Here, amidst the verdant canopy and under the vast expanse of the blue sky dotted with wispy clouds, Elwood is in her element – a natural explorer, a silent observer, a beautiful testament to the wild spirit that still resides within our domesticated companions. This moss and lichen-covered branch is truly her throne in her natural kingdom.

🎉 It's finally Friday!! Let's celebrate! 🎉 #ForestFriday 🌲 A Forest's Reflection in the Dusk, Pastel Skies Over Morgan Lake's Mirror 📷 #ForestSunset #Camping 🏕️✨ #Photography Morgan Lake, NE Oregon 🌿
Description: The day was fading, painting the sky above Morgan Lake with soft strokes of grey and a whisper of peach near the horizon. The sun had already slipped away, leaving behind the lingering glow of twilight. A thin, wispy cloud, high above, caught the last, faint light, adding a delicate touch to the vastness. Below, the lake stretched out, a mirror of polished obsidian reflecting the tranquil scene. Not a ripple disturbed its surface, allowing the silhouette of the forest to be perfectly doubled in its depths.
The trees stood like sentinels, a dark, intricate line against the pastel sky. They were evergreens, their shapes hinting at a dense and silent wood. Each tree, from the tallest pine to the smallest sapling, was etched sharply against the fading light, their branches reaching out like delicate fingers. A few, taller and more slender than the rest, pierced the sky, adding a touch of individuality to the dark tapestry.
Everything was still, quiet. The air itself seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the final curtain of night to fall. The only sound, if there was one, would have been the gentle lapping of water against the unseen shore. The scene was a study in tranquility, a moment of perfect peace captured in the heart of the forest. The muted colors, the stillness of the water, the mirrored symmetry of the trees – all combined to create an atmosphere of quiet contemplation. It was a place to pause, to breathe, to simply be, enveloped by the serene beauty of a forest sunset over Morgan Lake, NE Oregon. Managed by the city of La Grande.

🪨✨Good #RockinTuesday Folks! I wish you all a rock-solid day! 📷 Check out this incredible rock I found! It looks like a fossilized plant, but it's actually a mineral formation called a dendrite. Nature is amazing! 🌿 #Photography #Nature #Geology #Rocks 🤘
Description: This image showcases a light-colored, triangular rock fragment, likely limestone, featuring a striking dark dendritic pattern against its pale grey surface. The rock itself appears fine-grained with subtle variations in texture. Its irregular shape suggests a broken piece, revealing a glimpse into the rock's internal structure.
The dominant feature is the dark, branching dendrite, resembling a fossilized plant or fern. This intricate pattern spreads across the rock's surface, with a main "trunk" extending upward and delicate branches reaching outwards, creating a beautiful, tree-like silhouette. The dark color of the dendrite contrasts sharply with the lighter background, making it a visually captivating element.
Dendrites like this form when mineral-rich solutions flow through cracks in the rock and deposit minerals, such as manganese or iron oxides, as the water evaporates. The resulting branching patterns often mimic organic forms, adding an element of natural artistry to the stone. The image captures this natural phenomenon with clarity, highlighting the delicate details of the dendrite against the backdrop of the ancient rock.

🎉 It's finally Friday!! Let's celebrate! 🎉 #ForestFriday 🌲 Nature's Nocturne: Forest's Twilight Serenade 📷 #ForestSunset #Camping 🏕️✨ #Photography Wallowa Whitman National Forest, NE Oregon 🌿
Description: A tranquil forest sunset silhouettes evergreen trees against a fading pastel sky. The varied forms of these trees create a textured edge along the bottom of the image. Above, the sky shifts from lighter near the horizon to darker at the top, reflecting the afterglow of sunset or approaching twilight. Light from the hidden sun warms the dark trees. Perhaps a campfire glows faintly in the background, its subtle popping wood and faint woodsmoke scent drifting on the still air. The last few birdcalls – a lone robin's evening song, followed by a distant owl's brief "hoot" – punctuate the quiet as the sun sets. This contrast of light and dark defines the image, highlighting the forest against the open sky. The layered trees add depth. The simple composition and muted colors create a peaceful, serene, and tranquil atmosphere. This moment of transition evokes quiet solitude and the beauty of the forest at twilight.

Thursday is the BEST day! #TreeStumpThursday 😸🌲 Woodland Reverie: Between the Branches, a Moment Found 📷 AKA Elwood on a tree stump day! #Photography #CatsOfBluesky #ThrowbackThursday
Description: This snapshot captures a poised and adorable young Elwood. Seated on a weathered, moss and lichen-covered tree stump in a rustic, autumnal setting, she looks particularly endearing. Her classic tabby coat, with swirling grey and black patterns, is prominent, especially on her curled tail. Attentive, with perked ears, she's clearly observing something nearby. Her dark collar and round tag, a Findster tracker, suggest safe outdoor adventures. The backdrop reveals a typical fall day: browns, oranges, and yellows dominate, with dried leaves scattered across the ground. Bare branches reach upwards, creating a stark pattern, while a few resilient green sprigs add a touch of contrast. Soft, natural lighting highlights Elwood's cute features, making her the clear focus of this cherished throwback photo.

Description: This image transports you to the heart of the Olympic National Forest, showcasing a trail winding through a lush, ancient woodland. Towering, green moss-draped trees dominate, their twisting forms a testament to the forest's age. A vibrant carpet of ferns blankets the forest floor, creating a sea of green. The low camera angle emphasizes the immense scale of the trees and the density of the vegetation, immersing the viewer in the forest's tranquility. Soft, filtered light permeates the canopy, highlighting the rich textures. The trail, a narrow path of earth, beckons you deeper into this serene landscape.
Near the Humptulips River, a kingfisher perches on a branch, its iridescent feathers catching the sunlight. Its presence is part of the forest's rich chorus. The sweet song of a varied thrush might drift through the foliage, and high above, a bald eagle's call might resonate through the valleys. The forest also has a distinct aroma: the earthy scent of damp soil and decaying leaves, the crispness of evergreen needles, and a subtle hint of damp moss. This is a snapshot of the Olympic National Forest's unique beauty and biodiversity, a place where sights, sounds, and smells are captivating.

#JanuArty #JanuArty2025 Day 29: Curve ⤵️ The Curve of the Stem: Yellow Fritillary Awakens 📷 #Photography 📷 #PhotoArt #Nature 🌿 #Wildflowers 💛
Description: The image showcases a delicate Fritillaria pudica, commonly known as the yellow fritillary, a small perennial wildflower native to the western United States and Canada. These dainty plants, seldom more than 8 inches tall, flower soon after snowmelt, generally from March to June, adding a splash of color to the landscape. The flower displays a bell-shaped head with a subtle red-orange stripe around the center, adding a touch of contrast to its vibrant yellow hue. However, this beauty is short-lived. As the petals age, they begin to turn a brick-red color and curl outward, signaling the end of their bloom. The long, slender stem is gracefully curved, supporting the flower and adding to its delicate beauty. The soft, blurred gray background with hints of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and highlights the flower's delicate beauty. This particular Fritillaria pudica was discovered by myself in the wildflower-rich landscapes of Northwest Washington. Although beautiful, Fritillaria pudica is considered not very common, making this encounter even more special. The plants’ above-ground parts disappear a few weeks after flowering, leaving behind a dormant bulb that will produce new growth the following spring.

#JanuArty #JanuArty2025 Day 28: Flat 🩶 Fog Shrouds the Columbia River: Flat Light and Form 📷 #Photography 📷 #PhotoArt #Nature 🌿 #FlatLight 🌫️
Description: The Columbia River near Irrigon, Oregon, is shrouded in a thick, heavy fog, creating a scene of ethereal beauty. The water of the river is barely visible, its surface a hazy, almost ghostly reflection of the sky. Silhouetted against the fog, the skeletal forms of bare trees lean towards the water, their branches reaching out like ghostly fingers. This stillness and mystery are further enhanced by the two-dimensionality of the photograph, with its flat, almost monochromatic palette, blurring the lines between reality and illusion. This effect is achieved through the use of soft, flat light, a technique I often employ in my landscape photography. This lighting, created by the overcast conditions, minimizes dramatic shadows and highlights, allowing the viewer to focus on the interplay of light and shadow. However, in this image, it's not light that takes center stage, but rather geometry. The stark lines of the trees against the foggy backdrop create a sense of structure and order, a counterpoint to the ethereal nature of the scene. The resulting image is peaceful, elegant, subtle, and understated, capturing the essence of the scene without overwhelming the senses.

🪨✨Good #RockinTuesday Folks! I'd like to see your rock images. Use the hashtag to share your great rock photographs so everyone can enjoy them. I wish you all a rock-solid day! 📷 The Majestic Columnar Basalt Rocks of Hells Gate 🌿 #Photography #Nature
Description: The image shows a dramatic cliff face composed of columnar basalt, a type of igneous rock formed by rapidly cooling lava. These hexagonal or pentagonal columns can reach impressive heights, and in this image, we see them adorned with patches of vibrant green moss and tufts of hardy grasses that have taken root in the crevices. The lichens that adorn the rocks are likely crusty lichens, a type of lichen that grows flat against the surface of a rock and is often found in harsh environments. Crusty lichens help break down rocks, creating soil for other plants, and provide food and shelter for various insects and animals.
This location is adjacent to Hells Gate State Park in the state of Idaho, near the Snake River, and is part of the Hell's Gate Habitat Management Unit, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
This area provides habitat for various wildlife species and offers opportunities for hiking, hunting, and enjoying nature. The Corps actively manages this unit, sometimes closing areas for restoration or wildlife management.
It's a beautiful example of the unique geological formations found in that region!

#JanuArty #JanuArty2025 Day 26: Broken 🌲🏚️🍂☀️ There's A Story in Every Crack, A Whisper in The Window 🪟 #Photography 📷 #PhotoArt #Nature 🌿 #LogCabin
Description: The old log cabin stands sentinel in the heart of the forest, a silent witness to the passage of time. Broken but still surviving, it clings to the earth, its weathered exterior a testament to the relentless forces of nature. The once-tightly fitted logs are now warped and twisted, their surfaces etched with deep grooves carved by years of exposure to the elements. In some places, the bark has peeled away, revealing the pale wood beneath, while in others, lichens and moss have taken hold, creating a tapestry of green and grey.
A crumbling stone chimney, a marvel of early construction, stands defiant against the elements. It is a testament to the ingenuity and perseverance of the pioneers who built this home in the wilderness. Imagine the immense effort it took to construct such a sturdy chimney using only stone and no mortar, relying solely on the careful placement of each rock to ensure its stability.
The cabin seems to whisper stories of the past – tales of families gathered around the hearth on cold winter nights, of children playing in the surrounding woods, and of the quiet resilience that allowed them to thrive in such a remote and challenging environment. One can almost hear the echoes of laughter and the murmur of conversation, though now only the rustling of leaves and the distant call of a bird fill the air.
As the sun dips below the horizon, casting long shadows across the forest floor, the cabin seems to shrink back into the surrounding landscape, a silent reminder of the fleeting nature of time and the enduring power of nature itself.

My plate overflows with a verdant cascade of garlic scapes, each slender stalk a vibrant testament to my garden's bounty. They lie intertwined like emerald snakes, their tips curling playfully. The sunlight catches the glistening surface of each scape, illuminating a thousand tiny facets, each one a miniature jewel. I can almost taste the symphony of green, the rich, garlicky notes that will soon dance on my palate in the form of a fragrant pesto.
Here's a recipe for garlic scape pesto:
Ingredients:
 * 2 cups packed garlic scapes, trimmed and roughly chopped
 * 1/2 cup toasted pine nuts or walnuts
 * 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
 * 1/4 cup olive oil, plus more as needed
 * 2 cloves garlic, minced
 * 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
 * Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment:
 * Food processor or blender
Instructions:
 * Combine Ingredients: In a food processor or blender, combine garlic scapes, toasted nuts, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
 * Pulse and Blend: Pulse a few times to coarsely chop the ingredients, then blend until smooth.
 * Adjust Consistency: Stop and scrape down the sides of the processor as needed. Add more olive oil if the pesto is too thick.
 * Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

 * Herbs: Add a handful of fresh herbs like basil, parsley, or mint for an extra flavor boost.
 * Lemon: A squeeze of lemon juice can brighten the pesto.
 * Serving Suggestions: Use garlic scape pesto as a pasta sauce, spread on sandwiches or crostini, toss with roasted vegetables, or drizzle over grilled fish or chicken.
Enjoy your…

The Forest Feast: The morning sun filtered through the thick canopy of pines, casting ,dappled shadows on the forest floor. A sense of tranquility hung heavy in the air, broken only by the distant chirping of birds. It was a perfect morning for a simple breakfast under the open sky.
My small camping table stood nestled amongst the trees, its surface adorned with a bowl overflowing with plump huckleberries—the fruits of my early morning labor. I'd spent the past hour picking them myself, their sweet aroma already filling the air. Beside them sat a jar of golden sweet honey, and a container of creamy Greek yogurt. The combined scents created a symphony of nature's flavors.
I sat beside the table, a contented smile gracing my face. I scooped a generous spoonful of yogurt, adding a dollop of sweet honey and a handful of huckleberries. The combination was pure bliss, a taste of summer captured in a single bite.

#JanuArty #JanuArty2025 Day 23: Opposites 🔥🧊 From Cabin Fever to Campfire Cheer 🌭 #Photography 📷 #PhotoArt #Camping ⛺✨ #Nature 🌿
Description: The snow crunched under my boots as I ventured deeper into the forest, the air crisp and still. Cabin fever had been gnawing at me, and I needed to escape the confines of my cabin. I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I hiked a few miles, the fresh air and the sight of the snow-covered trees stirring my appetite. I decided to try my luck at a campfire.
I spotted a weathered stump, its bark peeling away like an old coat. With a practiced hand, I carefully removed the loose bark. The bark, now stripped from the stump, was carefully placed in a cleared area, forming a makeshift barrier. This would act as insulation, preventing the precious heat from being absorbed by the cold snow.
With a deep breath, I knelt beside my creation, a spark of determination in my eyes. I gathered dry twigs and branches, carefully arranging them on the bark. The tinder was placed in the center, a delicate touch, like laying the first stones of a house.
A single match flickered to life, its flame a beacon of hope in the fading light. I held the match to the tinder, and a small flame erupted, dancing and flickering. I gently added more twigs, coaxing the fire to grow, to strengthen.
As the flames licked at the twigs, I knew I had succeeded. I had built a fire in the snow, a testament to my resourcefulness and resilience. The warmth radiating from the fire was a welcome relief, and I could already smell the promise of a cooked meal. My hunger pangs subsided, replaced by a sense of accomplishment and the anticipation of a delicious snack. And so, in the heart of winter, I had found a way to harness the power of fire to conquer the cold, a small victory of warmth over the icy embrace of the season.
The image shows a small campfire burning in the snow. The flames are dancing upwards, and there is a long stick with a hot dog impaled on it, being roasted over the fire. The background is a forest of tall, snow-covered trees.
