I finished staining my wood shed to match the decks today. The weather was perfect to do so! Very happy that these projects are completed!

I keep this little notebook listing every room in my home, the exterior decks, porch, tool/storage & wood shed. I put the sample colors used, note improvements & what I need to do or want done in pencil. When a task is completed I can erase that job. It's great to take along when shopping.

Filled the Jeep today, as gas was $3.89/gal. Governor Braun has continued not adding state tax. I know he'll place it back on after the midterms! Meanwhile I'll feed my gas tank!!

Autumn is definitely here. The tree leaves have started changing overnight, the Salomon seal berries are deep red and the bittersweet is starting to turn orange. 🍂🍁🍂

I raised an amazing son that supports me, understands the importance of being honest & open minded, follows truth, love & peace. I swear he's taken my Dad's place on Earth. This is what I received today for my 74th birthday from him. I love this so much. I raised a rebel child & that is my success.

I missed a call from my son for my birthday as I was staining spindles on the front deck, but he sent this text. "I tried calling but you’re probably busy staining the deck, cutting down a tree, shoveling a new ditch, and moving 300 pounds of rock. Happy 74th birthday! I’ll call back later. Love ya!

After finishing the front deck this afternoon, I went to CVS and purchased Tequila as my reward and a self birthday present to me. I saved $25.00 at CVS for the large bottle of Jose Cuervo! It's $43.00 next door at Hoosier Buddy. WTF??? Margarita time with oranges 🍊!

I mis-typed in the below post. It is not drift wood! It is a large heavy piece of petrified wood that my Dad snagged in the 40's. I scrubbed it and brought inside to rest near my woodstove.

Finally, a perfect day to start staining my front deck! 76° & sunny! I spent yesterday dumping the huge plants in the ravine, (I'm done with plants 15 feet tall) collecting the shamrock bulbs for storage out of one large pot & dumping the soil, washing all the pots plus a heavy piece of driftwood.
