OMG! I can so relate. I had a major freakout when I saw the email letting me know that results were out. When I saw my name on the list I screamed so loud I scared my caregiver. Why? It was my seventh time taking the exam and I had finally passed.

I was a 2L. I would watch GMA every morning while getting ready to go to class. Saw the second plane hit live and I remember being just stunned by what I had seen. I asked my aide if she saw it. If we had both seen that plane hit. Spent the rest of the day glued to the TV.

Ugh. Just awful. Unclear what happened here but the implication I get from the article is that they’d fallen into deep debt and maybe owed money to some very bad people. And once they’d been deported, paying that money back was probably very very hard.

Their 14-month-old daughter, Giovanni, was found crying beside her mother's body. in southern Guatemala. The child showed signs of dehydration and was taken to a medical center, where she is recovering, according to Guatemalan news outlet ABC Stereo.
Guatemala's National Civil Police told local news outlets that Pérez Paz, 43, and González de la Cruz, 25, had been gagged and had their hands and feet bound. Authorities said both showed signs of physical trauma. Prosecutors are investigating the killings, including a possible motive and who was responsible.

Been waiting for this story. ICE deports people to Venezuela three times a week, there are likely many more recent deportees with valid asylum claims in the rubble. Hope that GlobalX crew loses some sleep knowing they flew a planeload of shackled men & women, plus seven children, to their deaths.

I heard something really disturbing yesterday. One of the buildings that collapsed during the Venezuelan earthquake held people who had been deported from the U.S. They were staying near the airport. Word is the majority are deceased.
