- Miles' pen cap / Not weird
- Who even is Robert and why does he have rules?
- Another shift weeding and avoiding coworkers
- Got you a candle boss (totally normal)
- FHMan13...why is that name familiar?
- Mimosas @11am / tell my cousin I'm a pornstar / she won't hate me, right?

F/NB WAYFARERS x MURDERBOT Ship's cook Tai is horrified to discover their new crewmate is a terrifying alien: an ordinary human woman. Now Tai's stuck with bickering crewmates, sinister criminals, explosions, and worse, a human who wants to be friends. #QueerPit #A #SF #R #HA

Mood board/Agent's guide for my novel CARGO - a queer SF/heist/romance - 113,000 words

"Did you hear? There's a human on board."
A graphic of the wall of a spaceship with sticky notes and polaroid photos taped up. There are twinkle lights hanging from the ceiling.
alien ship's cook (fussy, anxious) + terrifying monster (ordinary human)

PITCH:
Tai’s terrified of humans. Everyone is. Violent pack hunters, humans are notorious for their strength, sharp teeth, and carnivorous appetites. But the ship’s cook is safe among the multispecies crew of the cargo hauler Coreward Baker: everyone knows the warrior species rarely leave their own space. Then Captain Raz hires Clarke, a human horticulturist.
Even after Tai overcomes their fear, they can’t stand Clarke. She’s bossy. Annoying. Useless in the galley, bad in a space suit. She might as well be cargo. Worse, she’s intent on befriending Tai—and why can’t they stop thinking about her, anyway?
That’s when things go wrong. As Tai starts to realize their feelings for Clarke, they’re horrified to learn that nobody on their crew of dropouts and runaways is quite who they seem, least of all Clarke. And it’s no coincidence. Raz reveals they’ve each been handpicked for a heist he’s spent years planning—and no one’s allowed to say no.

PRIORITIES:
make dinner
remain cozy
haul cargo
go for drinks
pull off one last score
try not to fall in love

FIRST PAGE:

“Did you hear? There’s a Human on board.”
I choked on my noodles and turned to stare at the diners at the next table. Like most of the restaurant’s patrons, the pair had hidden their profiles, a halfhearted attempt at anonymity.
“Gross,” the speaker’s crewmate said, oblivious to my alarm. “I hope it leaves soon.”
“Don’t let it hear you say that,” the first worker laughed. She made a show of looking for Humans, her eyes darting from table to table.
It. I frowned. I knew the workers’ language distinguished between people and things, and ‘it’ was an unkind choice of words at best.
The second worker shuddered. “I don’t know why we let them come here.”
The first laughed. “Are you going to stop them?”

THE EVERWINTER KING Desperate to find his missing sun god, a former holy king returns home to compete in trials meant to bring the god back, and stop the onslaught of an endless winter. 🏳️‍🌈 Queer norm world ☀️ Light-based magic 🏳️‍⚧️ Trans love interest 👑 Hidden royalty #QueerPit #F #A #amquerying

Title page for an agent's guide to THE EVERWINTER KING. The title is placed over a moodboard featuring a Mediterranean inspired setting and royalty imagery. In addition to the title the page reads "Adult Fantasy Standalone. Queer normative world. MM romance subplot. 99,000 words."

THE EVERWINTER KING's pitch.

PITCH
A former holy king does the one thing he swore he’d never do in search of his missing god. He goes home.

Malachi was born with God’s voice in his head. When God vanishes in the midst of a decade-long winter, Mal breaks the oath he made to himself and returns to the home he abandoned—the city where he was raised to be king. There, he’s marked to compete in trials meant to select God’s new emissary. His replacement.

After succeeding in the first trial, Mal demands entry to the royal temple, where he learns the skies are empty. God has stopped speaking to his priests and Mal alike. With no other avenue for answers, Mal must win the competition for God’s favor and assume the throne he never wanted, or risk losing his oldest friend for good and damning the world to a worsening everwinter.

An excerpt from THE EVERWINTER KING. Next to the excerpt is character art of the main character. He has light bright skin, dark brown hair, facial hair, and a simple jerkin over white shirt. His eye is glowing like the sun.

EXCERPT STARTS BELOW

“My head hurts,” Malachi mumbled into his drink.

“They say King Ridaris’ eye glowed like this.”

Did they? Malachi shuffled through his memories for any mention of that from his mothers, or the history books, and found nothing.

“I think it means God knows who you are.” Sen lowered her voice, eyes shifting toward the surrounding priests. Kinder to pretend she did it out of concern for his headache. “You need to be careful.”

“Aye.”

“It hasn’t stopped glowing. Everyone else’s did.”

He raised a hand to cover his eye, pausing to marvel at the light pouring over his fingers and palm. It spilled into every crack, crevice, and scar his hand had to offer, like liquid pooled against his skin. Malachi closed his fist around the cold light and pressed it to his face. “Hurts.”

“Close your eyes,” Samara offered. “Rest. We’ll handle it from here.”

For once, he did just that.

A page listing comp titles.

Comp titles for THE EVERWINTER KING include: "The Raven Scholar" by Antonia Hodgson, "The Raven Tower" by Ann Leckie, "WITCH KING" by Martha Wells, and "The Red Winter" by Cameron Sullivan.

Similarities include: godly shenanigans, political trials, queer-norm worlds, queer male leads, messy homecomings, and a second chance subplot.

Bonus comp! Dragon Age 2.

Hi campers! I’m team #CRPDirewolves and revising my second novel, Macarons and Monsters to prep for querying. It’s a darkly whimsical contemporary/urban adult fantasy with ND/queer rep, a bunch of magical creatures, and a generous pinch of academic satire. Here’s a little infographic for it.

AI-assisted writing in 1716. #skystorians

A man is sitting at a desk, writing a book with a quill. He is not looking at the page. A godly book, illuminated, is also present in the copperplate print of 1716. The godly message of the flying book is in German and from the Bible: Im Anfang war das Wort Joh:1 v:1". A light beam from the holy book to the yet blank page can also be seen with the words inscribed: „Dein Wort ist ein Licht auf meinem Wege Ps. 119 v. 105“. So, basically, god is the textual inspiration of the author's work. It looks like he is waiting an artificial hallucination in 1716. The source: https://portraits.hab.de/werk/17512/mirador

THE ARGONAUT'S SON #PosterPit #HF #LGBTQ #Myth #Q #A #AmQuerying The Song of Achilles x The Women In Ancient Greece, when one man's dream of family and brotherhood collides with another's quest for honour, can their bond survive the trauma of war?

A line image of Rodin's The Thinker (A naked man, seated on a rock, with his chin on his hand and deep in thought). Above it the title: The Argonaut's Son, a novel inspired by Sophocles' Ajax.
Beneath is the log line: "In Ancient Greece, when one man's dream of family and brotherhood collides with another's quest for honour, can their bond survive the trauma of war?"
It is rather cheekily given 5 stars and has recent competition successes listed in laurel wreathes. At the very bottom are the tags: "Father Compex", "Brothers in Arms", "Friends to Lovers", "Big Shields", "Bigger Egos".
