The SANE WORLD considers anyone which uses the terms "stable genius", "extraordinarily brilliant" and "the least racist person you'll ever meet" to describe the current president of the United States a COMPLETE DICK (and that includes the current president of the United States).

A new statue titled “The Orange Plague”, also known as “King of Injustice”, by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt has been unveiled inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, where it will remain through 8 October. Remember to stop by for a selfie if you have a chance. 😏📸
This sculpture is a satirical piece titled "[The Orange Plague] created by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt.

The Imagery: The 2.6-meter-tall, gold-plated bronze sculpture depicts a naked, oversized Donald Trump riding on the back of a smaller man. He is holding a golf club in one hand and a pair of scales in the other.

The Meaning: According to Galschiøt, the piece is a satirical commentary on modern political power, climate policy, and the subversion of the rules-based international order.

Recent Exhibition: In October 2026, the statue drew global headlines when it went on public display inside the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France, organized by Danish MEP Per Clausen.

Yes it was a choice. But one decided on by less than 1% of the membership. There is something really wrong with the policy making process if that's considered normal. Especially considering how consequential this one will prove to be for the party.

And on the same "how to be a fake patriot" theme... I only recently found out they even sold off the majority of our ports! More than 70% are now owned by foreign players. But yes, keep waving that little Union Jack! And remember, it's the poor brown people who are the baddies.

People - eventually- see through personal ambition & greed dressed up as public service. And it was Buffoon Johnson who -together with his facilitators- let the populist genie well and truly out of the bottle in this country. The fact it then devoured the Conservative Party is sheer poetic justice.

And harking back to tatcherism?? Please.. They've monetised everything that is dear to us & sold Britain off to the highest bidder. Patriots indeed! Think of that when you read an article about children's homes run for profit at a cost of £300k+ pcpy or when you take your kid for a paddle in sewage.

As long as the Tories are threatening to leave the ECHR, they aren’t a serious party. Consider it the ultimate red flag. Any party who’d take this entirely unnecessary and ruinous risk with our rights and our country’s security and wellbeing should never get its hands on power. (Letter, Times)
Value of the
ECHR
Sir, In dangerous times, serious countries do not retreat into splendid isolation. They build alliances, multiply their influence and strengthen institutions. Key among those is the 46-member Council of Europe, at its heart the European Convention on Human Rights. As former independent reviewers of terrorism legislation we have seen at close quarters that the ECHR is not just a human rights instrument. It is a national security asset. Terrorist networks, hostile states, organised crime gangs and people smugglers do not respect borders. Tackling them requires arrangements for the closest possible co-operation with our neighbours, including through joint investigations and police access to European passenger, fingerprint, DNA and vehicle data. These arrangements expressly depend on internationally agreed human rights standards, applied by a supranational court. We detect no political willingness to excuse the UK from compliance with standards to which the rest of Europe already subscribes. As authoritarian powers grow more aggressive and democratic institutions face mounting pressure, Britain should not be abandoning one of its greatest postwar achievements.
The question is not whether we can afford to remain within the ECHR. It is whether, in an increasingly perilous world, we can afford not to.
Lord Carlile of Berriew, Lord Anderson of Ipswich, Sir Max Hill

Labour too bans those it deems too critical. It's a worrying trend which needs condemning all round.
