Reading the list of requirements my immediate response is "pfft, good luck with all that". The security lockdown demanded is more draconian than most corporations roll out on their enterprise hardware.

You ever have a day where you are just fed up of needing to eat? I mean, I already did this whole song and dance yesterday and now I have to do it again? And tomorrow as well? Urgh

Another thing that has gotten Gamer Hackles up is that the original version has now been delisted. This makes sense to reduce confusion but now means people cannot be pointed towards the "unfucked" version- a grave crime in gamer eyes

Same. Initially I was skeptical of the blowback but at this point even if only half of the things reported to be wrong with it are true I'm staying away. The introduction of slop, removal of workshop support, bugs, etc can't beat the very much needed introduction of 64-bit support

At least the character who smokes in Chainsmoker Cat is as unglamorous as possible, instead of them looking ~cool~ like in Kowloon Generic Romance? But yeah, there has been a marked uptick in "whoa you can look cool"

One amusing thing cropped up in the game during a chat with a party member just before the final dungeon: they floated the idea of a kingdom-builder / management sim sequel, something i'm pretty on board with

And thats credits on Metaphor. A good game overall, let down by the muddled story and writing in the back half which really undercut the imaginative world building up until then. For me, it peaked at Eht Ria. Still, love a Job system in an RPG and this was a good one.

Got to the last 10% HP on the last phase of the last boss of Metaphor only to get obliterated by the enemy getting lucky crits and then giving itself 4 more turns. Yeah, fuck that, i'm going to get a save editor and give myself 99 of every incense

Another Metaphor gaming update: I'm on the day before the final battle and every character wants to have a final "we may die tomorrow!" scene, I'll do this tomorrow. My team are level 69, tapped out after 1/3 optional bosses because boy I cannot be arsed with that much prep work

Of course it was going to happen, but it is a shame that Metaphor watered down Catherina's link storyline. I'm in the final gameplay cycle now and the writing has gotten itself tied in knots, especially around the whole "it feels for the promised king to return with the magical sword" thingy
