I note with interest that the only portfolios that are CabSecs in ScotGov but the Greens have demoted to "spokesperson" are housing, Gàidhlig, care and - shock horror - local government. They kept CabSec for Public Service "Reform" [read: cuts] though. They do have plenty of experience with those.

The new EHRC guidance is state-mandated segregationism. Even where so-called "third spaces" exist, it's clear that forcing trans people to out themselves by using them will significantly harm their ability to participate in public life. That's genocidal. The Labour party must never be forgiven.

It is absurd - but characteristic of the deeply authoritarian British state - that a proscription which has been ruled to be unlawful continues to remain in place. If I were to say "I support Palestine Action" I could still be thrown in jail despite the ban being unlawful. It must not be enforced.

Green politics should be about materially opposing fascism, not just saying "I told you so" when Farage becomes PM. It's incumbent on Greens to take the fight directly to Reform - we know that it's both Green ideas and Green votes at the ballot box next year that can defeat the far-right.
